On the Sheffield United site now that Cuvelier has been training with Vale and they are looking at a loan for the rest of the season

Florent (Cuvelier) has trained with Port Vale for a couple of days and there is a good chance he will move out on-loan for the rest of the season.

I'm growing to really despise Preston.

Just loving the idea of going with youth now as their wages won't be huge, this will be the way forward for clubs our size and remember , there is some very good young talent out there .... Careful guys ... Talent as in football ;)

I agree but try telling that to Micky Adams who prefers to bring in seasoned players who command higher wages rather than giving younger players a chance.

I'm all for playing the youth if they're good enough, but don't forget that one of those seasoned players , Lee Hughes, played a big part in our promotion last season. A combination of both then?

A mixture is required, there will be times when a development squad does not produce in a certain position, then ready made have to be brought in.

A promotion season may be different, experience is required, thus Hughes etc brought in. But in the long term, players have to be mainly made in the club

FA Cup Rules Section 15 ..... iv In the Competition Proper, players on "long term loan agreements", are not considered "loan" players for the purposes of the Rule, and are therefore eligible to play in the Competition

Would this only include season loans? But if for the rest of the season, worth clarifying as soon as poss, not on the afternoon of the game?

Better not let Lodey do it then.....assuming he was to blame for the Davis fiasco at Plymouth.

I just want it officially announced now. On the few occasions ive seen him, he likes to get the ball down but also drive with it and has 'pulled the strings'. Says it all when the majority of blades fans want him to stay. Could be a top top signing! Hope Billy Knott joins him as well.

Him and Lines in the middle is a promotion centre midfield.

Just out of interest where is that from? I really cant see them offering anything like that for a player out of contract in the summer

Jennison Myrie Williams will remain a Port Vale player following a rejected bid from Bristol City, estimated in the region of £200,000.

From him, but it's a fake account apparently?
