To be honest, having picked up lines for nothing... We should be a club that looks to cultivate and the sell on players to finance the next starlet. We did in the Rudge era and into the Horton era... I'd be pleased if we did sell him on and bring in quality again... The start of something good!?!

 

I agree wholeheartedly. Surely it would be better to ensure that the 'replacement' is suitable. Also is a loan signing an adequate replacement for Lines, after all they could be recalled within 24 hours.

The world has changed since then. Look at August and I can only see 2 transfers at our level and they were only 100k. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/23530984 .Wolves paid 200k for a Wrexham player at the start of September. Top teams look abroad now.

Pick up players that top teams don't want, but don't expect to sell them later at a profit. Bosman killed that.

He's exactly the sort of player i thought we'd be signing. It wasn't until the revelation regarding FFP (when Dickinson joined) that i thought we couldnt. I believe MA was in the same boat as well..........
