New loan signings

I don't think money is tight, I think the FFP rules are simply hindering any signings where we will have to pay the wages. Nothing to stop us taking a young premiership player on loan where the feeder club pays the wages though.

Did'nt Birchall offer to play for free when we were in admin, and it still wasn't allowed.

Not so sure mate. Went to pay another installment on my Season Ticket yesterday, thought I'd have a drive via Lorne Street, to see whether the Truth of Lorne Street being put on hold was true. Certainly no builders about, in fact the Car park looks like a Ghost town. Does anyone work there, during the day. Smurf keeps saying if we want a CEO then we've got sell a player. Perhaps it could be the case of Wildes committing to stuff and Smurf suddenly having to fund the bill and being left skint.

Think I may have eluded to this some time ago

We should sell a player then a decent CEO would generate enough to sign us another five players. Smurf you don't wants CEO just in case he gets a bigger adulation from fans than you.

So much for the brave new world. What were the yearly losses under V2001? £300K? Now we hear Smurf is putting in £70K a month, isn't that £840K a year and we are now debt free after all our money was written off by admin. Something doesn't add up.

Yeah you're right, a man who financed a promotion, can service the club coffers to the tune of £840k and keep the club debt free is much worse than a bunch a chancers who couldn't service a £300k shortfall despite remortgaging the ground to try to and taking us down into league 2.

Are you seriously comparing Smurf who has promised to leave us debt free to that bunch of shisters?

Oh bless...still missing mar mate bill? Still trying to justify your support of the people who nearly destroyed our club rather than doing the right thing? The only way any new owner could be worse than them, is if we fell out of the league and the the club was liquidated. That's how bad they were.

True and of course the ideal signing would be one of these that is half decent. Problems are though:

1. They are few and far between

2. 98% of championship and below teams want these type of players

Also greedy Premier teams now want the loanee club to contribute wages in some cases; particularly the better ones. This can be expensive so clubs like Port Vale struggle to attract the sort of young loan Premier player that would be useful to us.

TBH, now that the club shop and ticket office has moved, those employee's will park round by the shop instead of Lorne st.

smurf putting in 70k per month! I know he is a wealthy man but how long can he/ want to sustain that sort of loss. The thing that puzzled me is why is he having to put that money in when if I remember right we needed 5500 crowds to break even. Sure we are achieving that with the added bonus of the wolves gate.

To be fair, when smurf told us at a sc meeting of the 70k per month, it was during the close season when no income was coming in.

It may well be far less than 70k now.
