That's how I understood it. Cash flow is always a problem in summer months and I saw this as smurfs way of keeping cash flow positive.

 

Not forgetting this was the first close season following v2001 and admin,one would assume smurf would prepare for next close season.

To be fair, when smurf told us at a sc meeting of the 70k per month, it was during the close season when no income was coming in.

It may well be far less than 70k now.

So much for the brave new world. What were the yearly losses under V2001? £300K? Now we hear Smurf is putting in £70K a month, isn't that £840K a year and we are now debt free after all our money was written off by admin. Something doesn't add up.

All debts were written off by admin before V2001 took over, they then managed to send us back into admin with massive debts, thats now history, however it is important that you do not attempt to re-write history.

 

Smurf has decided that the club needed major investmentw, due to a total lack of investment under the old regime. He may well have had to invest [ note invest ] 70k a month to fund projects like the pitch refurbishment, the club shop move etc etc etc, all vital to our clubs long term stability.

 

Some thing does not add up, you are right, its your inability to have any grasp on anything financial

But that's investment not trading losses. Although I'd still like to know the form in which this 70K is being put into the club..my fault for not asking him

Why are we even debating this, its ridiculous, since when have the affars of the chairmans own money been our business. Since when have the actual accounts of the club been our business. We know the club are debt free, common sense says that smurf was putting in the money in the close season due to a cash flow issue when there was no money coming in, this is mainly due to the fact that he would not have had access to a lot of the money generated in the previous season as we were in administration. I doubt this will be the case next year.

 

We cannot sign players due to the FFP rules, not because we are skint. Smurf has just put around £2m into the club, the suggestion that he should sponsor a stand or buy the naming rights of the club is ridiculous, how much more money o we want this man to put in.

 

We have to live with the fact that we cannot sign another player, trust the fact that the manager can keep us in League 1 with the player he has, get behind the team and be the twelfth man to help this happen and stop professing to be better than the chairman, or better than the manager. If you were then you would be a football manager or you would indeed be the chairman of the club having been able to buy them with your huge fortune that you have tucked away due to you being a genius business man.

 

We need to remember, Smurf bought us out of Admin and Adams got us from Admin to promotion in the same season.

 

If there were no hooligans, no imaginary money issues and the team were winning everything 5-0 there would still be moaners on this site moaning that there is nothing to moan about.

As far as I saw, we had "assistance" from sports direct, never said how this was provided. Again, do we need to know how the shop was funded and who paid for what.............

 

I think people forget that they are no longer shareholders of the club and do not need to be privy to this information.

 

Our concern is only the quality of the stock, the fact that it has stock and the prices should be reasonable. If it cost £250 or £250k and who paid for it is only Smurfs concern...........

 

Will we not rest until the full accounts are published on here in April?
