New loan signings

I know that this thread has run it's course but just to put things in perspective how come on average gates of 6,300 Brentford are allowed to finance a playing staff of 31(including 6 loanees) yet the Vale are allowed only 22.

This explains the Brentford budget - simply it's mostly down to a multi-millionaire owner injecting more money in each year rather than the club relying on the overall money brought in - such as the money generated by season ticket sales.

That does mean that if anything happens to the owner (he loses his fortune, for instance) Brentford are stuffed, wheras the Vale approach is a more sustainable one driven by income across the board rather than from just one person.

I prefer this approach from NS. At least we wont be owing millions if things go wrong, like other clubs are doing. We have been there and seen it and it was not very nice.

Hopefully come Jan he can submit a better budget and we can get in two players to add that final touch and you never know, play-off slot.

Pope has won about 3 headers all season!

Which three were they - the ones he scored from?

He won loads of headers since coming back to form against Bury in the JPT.

Correct! Those very 3! He was completely anonymous again at Tranmere. He's getting bullied left right and centre.

Spot on its a big risk to take. I am gratefull Smurf is taking a more reasonably cautious approach espcially as its only thanks to the city council we didn't go out of existance 12 months ago.

Harsh Bails, I thought he was very clever with a lot of his touches and runs against Tranmere, creating space for the likes of Loft and Williamson to run into. Had he scored the penalty and the chance at the end (2 excellent saves by the way, rather than poor finishes), I doubt there would have been this debate.
