Good point. If the issues are around fraud at the turnstiles for example just make the odd one cash only, have it monitored , advertised then folks have the choice. No complaints . As for folks choosing seats etc that's ********. Simple rules. If it says season ticket then leave that or else sit where you want.

No because we would have had to factor in the annual loss on the turnstiles through fiddling!

Is there any clue to how much fiddling was going on? I heard it was a lot so the ticket only suits me if it benefits the club.

The losses can't have been that huge though since only the paddock had cash turnstiles anyway didn't it? Can't really have been losing £8K a month plus the costs of the system. Or does the £8k cover loan of the scanners, software, support etc.

The thing that got me the most was that most of the fiddling happened in the Paddock from what I heard so why didn't that area get targeted? V2001 I suppose!!

As far as I'm concerned, a cashless system is the way forward. Loads of clubs are heading that way - I suspect we will pay on the gate at very few away games this season. Whether the club got the best deal it could have done in achieving this is a moot point - there are alternatives to Ticketmaster - but continually whinging on about the inevitable is daft as far as I'm concerned. If we have ambitions to progress as a club, staying in the 19th century is not an option. We've had loads of folk on here complaining in the past about the difficulty of getting tickets for certain games when they live away from the area - now the club has introduced a system which will clearly help deal with this problem, we have folk complaining it's not fair. Whatever the club does, we will have folk whingeing about it. That, I'm afraid, is a Potteries trait and it is not a very attractive one.
