busy ticket office

Got into the queue for the inside window at 12:27.... At 13:02 we were about 8 people from the front when the middle aged woman wearing black came out of the ticket office and yelled to the queue, "this window is now enquiries only" and tore down the cardboard ticket sales sign from above the window. This meant that the approx 40 people behind us all got to the outside queue in front of us which was about 100 strong by now. Ourselves and at least 3 of the people in front of us gave up and went to the pub.

 

At about 14:20 we set off for home and when walking past the ground noticed the old ticket office open... We queued for about another 20 minutes and finally got our Bycars tickets.

 

One way or another I'll never do this again... Football is a social day for me and I simply don't want an hour of that taken away.

Took me about 10 minutes to get Colchester away tickets when I arrived at 1.30. Then another 5-10 minutes to get in because the scanner didn't work at the turnstile I was at.

Went the old ticket office for Walsall ticket, took no more than 2/3 mins. Went in tommy's then arrived at bycars turnstile [with st.] Massive que as only 2 turnstiles open, but the que moved really quickly.

I walked into the ground at about 2.55 and there were big queues outside we ticket office, away end and old ticket office. Each had approx 200 in.

We walked past the old ticket office at about ten past two and there were about three people inside. No queue at all. The queue at the main ticket office was much longer but seemed to be moving.

 

I suspect that after a few games everyone will be used to this system, the glitches will have been ironed out (hopefully) and everyone will wonder what the fuss was all about.

Farcical nonsense at the 1 turnstile open for Bee's fans! Their new ticket based entry system wasn't working & they were not prepared for the size of gate. Vale fans had issues getting in for kick off too! Stick 'em back in league 2 then they will cope!! Also sold out of programmes, club generally was Fred karno today

Why were 75% of the turnstiles shut in the Bycars ?

 

Because there were no staff to open any more gates, not allowed to have any spare turnstile staff this season so if people don't turn up or are on holiday some gates have to be closed

I went up to the ticket office at 10.30 this morning and queued for 10 mins.

I went back just after 1pm and queued for 10 mins.

I saw the line for those who had wandered up at 2.50pm.

If you leave it that late, i have no sympathy.

Of course most were in by 3, but if 10% were still outside after then then it isn't good enough.

From up in the Box George I saw very few coming in either the Bycars or Railway Paddock after kick off. Just stragglers it seemed - But I could be wrong perhaps someone in that end of the Paddock could give a clearer picture.
