Took my grandaughter for her first league match today,no problem with tickets as i got them last sunday.

My problem came about when we went to sit in our numbered seats, they were already occupied.

Biggest problem, they were season ticket holders in the correct seats.[/QUOTE]

Oh dear, that really is not very good.

From up in the Box George I saw very few coming in either the Bycars or Railway Paddock after kick off. Just stragglers it seemed - But I could be wrong perhaps someone in that end of the Paddock could give a clearer picture.

Your observations are accurate I was part of the paddock choir, very few people came into the railway paddock after 3 pm.

They must have turned away then. easily 600 outside at 2.55 (both ticket offices, Paddock and away turn style)

Walked past the away end at 14:40 and was staggered to see a queue of 300 Brentford fans trying to get into just TWO turnstiles. Imagine what we'd all say if roles were reversed down at their place?

Queued for 15 mins at around half one for a ticket. I was in and out in around 15 seconds but others were taking forever to get tickets - making specific seat requests and looking at a stadium plan. Is this really necessary?

Lastly, heard some blokes i the Paddock bogs talking about the ticketing situation:

'Conner understand why they anna popped up Vayul some tarm over the summer, only got thee sen's to blame'. Plenty of posters on this site have the same attitude. Staggering how blinkered some fans are about the diverse make-up of our fan base.

Or gone into the Railway Stand? Of course that is something difficult to know, how many do not come because of the ticketing system? Once online ticketing is available, staff familiar with system, and habits have settled, how will we know?

I went up to the ticket office at 10.30 this morning and queued for 10 mins.

I went back just after 1pm and queued for 10 mins.

I saw the line for those who had wandered up at 2.50pm.

If you leave it that late, i have no sympathy.

A disgusting comment. The ticket system should replicate the old cash on the door system I.e turn up at 2.50 and still get in at 2.51. It's no surprise I mentioned last month we would get fans turning around and going back to town as the queues are too long.

Hopefully it gets ironed out soon

No Beer in the paddock at half time :(

They had next to nothing, no crisps, no chocolate, no soft drinks... They had water though! I don't get why we run out of this kind of stuff... These products have long shelf life's so why do they never have any stock!!! Really cheeses me off... Poor planning and management

Or perhaps you're used to turning up then when under V2001 there were 1,000 paying on the day - and if that grew to 1,500 some didn't get in till 20 minutes after kick off.

We must have had over 2,000 fans today who weren't ST holders. So if none missed kick off that's good.

I don't see that 500 decided not to come in because no-one was coming in after kick off so anyone waiting would have got straight in - if you see my thinking?

I haven't seen a good queue at the Vale for years, what do you think it was like before lots of people had season tickets? How do you think 40 odd thousand got into the ground? Electronic is the future, just like topping a mobile up, but one step at a time.
