Daily Telegraph slur on Vale

The Telegraph is a reputable paper, so should have reputable journalists.

This clown obviously hasn't got a clue! How has he got a job there with comments like that? Clearly knows nothing!

Wolves away would possibly be one of our biggest away followings of the season (with Crewe).

Berk.

The Telegraph actually has superb sports journalists, probably the best there are. Certainly for football and cricket, I ignore egg chasing and pony trotting. The offending article was probably a one off and would not have originated from the likes of Henry Winter.

All the Wolves fans I've spoken to are looking forward to playing the Vale...just like old times.

Actually I will never forget the Wolves fans. Driving down the M6 to the Bristol Rovers away leg of the playoffs, there was a banner on the verge saying You Can Do It Vale. Only found out years later it was from Wolves fans. Superb gesture.

'The Stan Cullis stand... was not built to entertain the likes of Port Vale and Tranmere Rovers.'

More relevant is that it wasn't built for the current duffers playing for and running Wolves

He would have received more credibility if he'd have mentioned clubs like Crawley and Stevenage, who have pathetic away followings.

Posted this on wolves forum here are some of their views

No, hes right, we didn't build the stand with a view to playing league 1 football, that is a simple fact. That he's used your club to emphasize the point is unfortunate.

The stand and the ground is there to entertain whichever teams visit Molineux. If we are in the same division as Port Vale next season, then so be it.
