Sounds like I'm one of the very few who liked Stamford Bridge. I loved the old school feel to it, a proper historic football ground in the middle of housing/ built up area.

The old industrial looks only added to the experience for me and was much more interesting and enjoyable to me than somewhere like the Etihad or Emirates.

Thought it was a lovely ground myself. It did take a while to get out afterwards though.

Rubbish. I appreciate life gets in the way of being there for every game, but I bet he’s not been a single other game this season. Then comes out the woodwork in hospitality with the owner when we’re playing Chelsea. Life didn’t get in the way for that one did it.

I’m the same. Hate modern grounds. They’re so boring. Sure the Etihad had better facilities, but it’s just soulless and boring. I’d much rather go to a dump that’s got history and character. The facilities weren’t even that bad. Toilets were fine, as were the kiosks. Give me a ground that’s more unique, has more character, and in the city over a soulless bowl in the middle of nowhere any day of the week.

I said earlier we got spanked by a villa side 6-0 and it should have been more, and we had a far better side then.

I was recalling exactly the same occasion.

Arguably Vale's best ever midfield - Andy Porter, Ray Walker, Robbie Earle - and certainly one of the best ever.

But the quality of the Villa midfield - Gordon Cowans, Paul Birch, David Platt - ensured we barely caught a glimpse of the ball flying past us, let alone a chance to play constructive football with it.

Ironically, Villa's pitch was then a mud pudding.

Whats bradies plan

Score a goal and boot the ball long too a player who wins nothing

If you were a cynical person ,im not i say what i see why do you play 5 at the back and leave wingers free

Has Ojo ever ran with the ball into oppositions penalty area

At one point Gordon had 60 yards of pitch run with the ball into he just stood scared stiff overwhelmed by it all .

Does the way we play come from the managers negativity

Me thinks so

Enjoy rest of this campaign .

Not that there will be anything enjoy

Just to be clear, the woman with the dog said it could have been my medication that it could smell, never done drugs in my life.

What was written on the front of the  Vale shirts worn yesterday?

Does give me a chuckle every time I read a post expecting a player to do attacking runs when their job is primarily defensive.
We seem to criticise all of our centre mids because they aren't all marauding attacking players.

It was just a little joke, @Conrad, no offence intended.

There has been talk of them moving to a site at Earls Court but the fans don’t want to leave the Bridge.

Depends if fans have a say, although I think the pitch is owned by a fans group. Planning permission, listed buildings and views are other limitations to progress.

No Alan, I wasn’t offended at all, just thought I’d  make that clear I was gobsmacked when the dog picked me out.

The social media team are strange as well. Banging on about it as if we won the game. We got humped 7 nill. Shut up.

I see the haters are out in full and enjoying venting their spleens.  Again.

I don't j ow what people expect. We've just got walloped by THE World Club Champions.

I was hoping it would be less than 6. I was one out.

Their team cost £1.6bn. Ours cost nowt.

I read in the paper yesterday that, in their last set of accounts that have just been published, they lost £246m. That's TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY SIX MILLION. Carol lost £6m and people lost their heads on here. That 44 years of Carols losses.

Can I ask those moaners what would you prefer. That we handy beaten Bristol City and Sunderland, that we had t gone to Stamford Bridge, that we hadn't achieved something that hadn't happend in the last 75 years...??  It's never happend in my lifetime and probably never will again.

I had a great day yesterday.  Thought Stamford Bridge was a great ground - very impressed with the place. We were walloped - as I expected.

Bring on Rotherham, Barnsley and Cardiff.

See you all at Crawley and The Gas

Enjoy your Easter Sunday

No matter how good the opposition was I think it’s fair game to criticise some of the basic errors we made that lead to some of their goals.

I hate this modern trend, Man Citys Cherki did it today and sat on the bench wearing a Ekitike's Liverpool shirt, the vast majority don't give a stuff about the club they play for or heaven forbid it's supporters, I hate the modern game, it seemed to me years ago the players were representing me on the pitch, now I'm beginning to think I'm being taken for a mug.

It’s a modern day cliche, but the game has gone. Especially at the top end. Everyone is a mate of the opposition. No big rivalries. Tackling has been taken out of the game. Everyone still comes off the pitch looking like a male model. I prefer football in leagues one and two (which is probably a good job really given how we are), but in the main I feel it’s a better representation of proper football.

Up there with Patterson and Loft.

I’m signing off mate. Because I could spend 5 hours on how bad that signing has been.

And that’s my worry with Brady.
The club needs a whole restructure in the summer.

Magloire has become my poster boy for this disastrous season. He is miles off it. But take a look and him and Hernandez, they don’t even look anywhere as fit as a footballer should. Horrendous signings. Who the fk sanctioned these?

Unfortunately we needed a team that would put everything on the line. Our promotion team of 4 years ago probably didn't have the quality of this one but it had way more heart and fight with players like Worrall, Gibbons, Smith, Pett, Conlon etc. I'm certain they would have put up a better fight today. We'd likely get beat 99 times out of 100 but the lack of aggression was particularly noticeable.

Absolutely this. Give me any of those players any day over some of this lot. I refer to many previous posts on here, players like that had the traits I can relate to and looked like they were playing for the shirt and us. That’s the kind of dna we need in the side come next season I think.
