2026 Winter Transfer Window

Featured Replies

I'm still half expecting to see news that James Wilson is training with us with a view to signing a short term contract, it would seem about right.

From what we are seeing is the players with the most quality are jumping off the sinking ship.
And sadly some of those weren’t good enough anyway.
However that leaves us with a fractured squad. I would imagine the dressing room isn’t united.
And with less than 72 hours of the window remaining, we have replaced the dreadful Debrah, with a bloke who can’t stay fit, nobody has given him a contract in the summer so he had to go to Workington in the 7th tier.

Jonny on the podcast, I disagree with at times but listening to it on Wednesday he hit the nail on the head.
If the club are going to give up halfway through the season then why should the consumers pay for a full season next season on their STs because it’s just a wast of money!

I would say just pick and choose your matches next season. An almost 400 pounds lump sum in the summer would be nuts when your own club, owned by multi millionaires, on the face it, don’t care about you and are clueless as to how to run a football club.

Signing off until tomorrow at 5 when the inevitable 3,4,5 or even 6 drubbing comes.

Well, I am shell shocked. I didnt think it could get worse. 45 years supporting Vale and not seen anything like this. Our better players being shipped out and then a 27 year old crock from the 7th teir comes in. The club has given up. Its embarrasing.

Perspective: can't really do anything about players leaving. (Devante, Curtis) Deb was crap, new lad Tyler - give him a chance!

You’re making the mistake of assuming other clubs are run as shambolicly as us. Like random posters on a vale message board are going to think of a genius tactic to inflate a transfer that actual competent football people will fall for. No need for due diligence, just a Google search would sort this one out. If he had thrown his toys out, then it’s a dreadful and worrying decision. Might as well make Shipley and Ojo go captains next.

You might be surprised in your evaluation of how well other clubs are run….take a look at our nearest neighbours…

Sorry I do not agree on this. Yes lost his confidence of late and made the odd mistake but he is decent CB and better than most. Also has pace.

another poor decision to let him go when we are in this position. He gave 100%.

If Debrah had been retained, you would be saying 180 degrees the opposite of this.

I get that and you’re probably right. I just can’t get behind the club signing an injury prone 27 year old from the worst side in the 7th tier whilst letting Curtis and Cole go.
Whilst I agree with the bit you say about the signing, I expect our hands are tied with Curtis and Cole. Neither of them wanted to be here any more, they would have put no effort in or refused to play, which we just don't need. I'd rather get them out and get some money in.

So, let’s get this straight, everybody believes what Unofficial Vale says even thought that clueless twaat got nothing right for a number of years??

This is again another case of how gullible Vale fans are that they want to grab hold of anything of what anybody says because they can not stand the thought that a jakf decent player like Cole doesn’t want to stick around and play for their club that is in the biggest free fall that I have seen in my 45 years of supporting the club:

Absolute bullshiit and an unnecessary rumour from someone that does not have a clue and absolute bs from everyone on here that believes him

You mean the team challenging for the championship play offs? And it’s not just how they are run, it’s just having the abilty to Google (or chatgpt) who has captained our side this season when we (and I don’t for one second think we will) ask for an extra 200 grand because we made him captain for one game where we had the worst performance of the season. It’s a ridiculous theory that’s just grasping at Straws to excuse a poor decision.

Wowsers, what a week of transfer news! That’s got the juices flowing. C’mon Vale, we CAN survive this season ….…

…… has said literally no-one.

Quite what the point of signing this non-league guy whilst letting Debrah go is I really don’t know.

A 27 year old 7th tier defender? Really??? How likely is it that we have stumbled across a late developer / uncut gem?? Not very I’d suggest. But the optics look horrific. We are now literally shopping in the reduced section of the local corner shop.

I feel sorry for Brady. He isn’t the guy for us. He’ll be gone before Easter of his own violation, without a doubt.

I shall reiterate what I said the other day, if they allow Cole to leave without properly replacing him (and I don't mean some kid on loan) then that's me done with this lot.

If, as a club, we are essentially saying in January that we are giving up on the season when its barely half way through then the club can get <ovf censored>.  I didnt give up my hard earned money on a season ticket in the summer for a club that can't be arsed to compete for half of it.

I suspect I'm not on my own in being completely disillusioned with the shambolic way the club has been run and imagine there's a few close to boiling point like myself.  The actions of the next few days will determine whether that boils over completely.

But the optics in the summer looked like we were shopping in Woolworths window, St John's Square, Burslem, circa 1987! And look how that turned out! Woolworths gone from the 'High Street' - Vale - gone from League 1. Debrah - sh1t3. Tyler - sh1t3 (in your words)

Ultimately, things haven't changed much.

All of this for me highlights how poorly we're being run at the top!

We’re not even shopping in the bargain bin. We’re around the back skip diving for scraps.
