Hernandez from Norwich linked to us. Don’t see it myself.

I have seen a Grimsby Town fan mention that we are interested in McJannet.

Information is being leaked from the club like dangling bait. One to catch the moles and also for deflection and justification.

How much did the price increase for the one captains armband appearance ?£500,000? £5000? £500?

And as an aside - why has no other striker been signed. We’ve gone from a sweetie jar to a buskers hat and the whispers are deflection IMO.

Why are you believing this drivel?

According to Peter Rourke Nat king cole wasl having his medical at Luton 2day

All I can say is good bloody riddance to the wet wipe mercenary

Mcjannet or McDonald's

The exasperation of a captaincy appearance increasing his value somehow just really tickles me. Makes no sense at all.

Pace maybe, but poor quality footballer

Smith was a poor quality footballer with no pace yet people were blarting on here when he left. Jesse did well in some games, not so well in others, but always gave his all. Goes with my best wishes

Just to clarify before I criticise him, he also goes with my best wishes.

The difference between Smith and Debrah is, Smith can defend. He’s a very limited footballer but is good defensively. What does it say about Debrah that all people can say about him is that ‘he has pace’. It’s not like he’s good on the ball either.

In an ideal world I’d have released Smith and Debrah and signed better. If we were only going to keep one I’d have kept Smith (purely only to play back up), as I can trust him more to keep the ball out the net.

I said in the summer if we go with Debrah as one of our centre halves we will be relegated, and was largely derided. Well here we are. Terrible from Moore.

Possibly, probably?

My problem is people making up their mind before seeing him. Very easy to come up with reasons to write somebody off.

Imagine writing off Tolaj because he was coming from non league and we apparently wanted league experience. (and no, I don't care about age in the comparison -- you've got people wanting us to get Pearce still)

No idea what the contract deal is with this guy, but maybe he's just seen to be better than Jesse who he's replacing and that's all that's required right now.

I'm not really looking for a 'positive spin' on a signing I'll admit to knowing very little about [the player].

I'll judge him when I see him. I've got my suspicions that it won't work out but I'm not going to prejudge the guy for it.

We're not going to be getting better players (with profile) until the summer or we're doing better anyway.

Tolaj was a very highly regarded conference player, was not playing in the 7th tier, was not 27 and did not have an injury record to make Lee Matthews look as robust as Stanley Matthews.

Why would he want to be here when the club has given up? What would  you do? Stay with a side guaranteed to be in league2 and probably take a wage reduction or go to a bigger side who could go up and get a wage rise

Usain Bolt had pace. Crap at football. Debra was an astonishingly bad signing. And Moore championed him. Bonkers.

Why would he want to be here when the club has given up?
Personal and professional pride.

Sadly a lot of footballers lack that

You could examine most transfers we've made over recent years and there will be someone giving at least one reason for each player why they aren't initially rating them, or unsure of them. Tolaj coming from non-league even with a record still had some holding cards to their chest because we 1) needed promotion and 2) he didn't have a record yet proving he could do it at that level. I distinctly remember @valiant_593 calling for us to sign Devante Cole back then and the season before many, many times. In fairness to him though had at least watched a few games of Devante playing to have an opinion.

But yeah - Injury record a common one, league they are coming from is another, stats off a wiki page another people use to beat players with a stick when they've joined. The common denominator in a lot of them is fans passing judgement when they haven't seen any of them play.

I feel sorry for Brady. He isn’t the guy for us. He’ll be gone before Easter of his own violation, without a doubt.

If he's violating himself when he should be working he should be sacked right now.

Tolaj looked quality. Always did. My mates who support different teams who watched him all said the was a footballer. A real footballer.
