Honestly I didn't think it was possible but this season is genuinely worse than the 23/24 one. 

It's a 100 times worse. We actually spent some of that season in the top half of the league.

From recruitment, to the sheeite scarves handed out on Saturday, it's like someone's doing this for a bet.

Better be able to afford something with all the cash that has been floating around. Byers I’d want gone even if we had stayed up. Totally ineffective and his contract runs out end of season anyway. Personally no other league 1 club will be taking Byers and if he had any sense, he’d be the one begging us for a deal. 

Both Doncaster and Huddersfield fans said it took years to get over Moore's spell as manager. We have a rough ride ahead.

Like it or not, it’s part of Carol’s legacy too.

If he doesn’t want to be here then we may as well get rid. 

So IF a big IF Cole does leave Port Vale we must replace him at least. We need a leader someone who controls the game and not shy of getting a grip of the players. A Striker and CM or CDM to control the middle. Seeing L1 teams making transfers and we’re sat here with Archer which is a start, looks a good player. We need passion and dominance on the pitch.

I actually knew devante off the field a few years ago. Ive posted about this before so you can check my history - we lost touch when I moved away from Manchester where he was living at the time.

Having watched the highlights since he joined, including when he was signed and his original promo shoots, he has looked 100% like he didn't want to be here. He knew I was a vale fan at the time when he played for Bradford and was never complimentary about us. That was a long time ago though so maybe he changed his opinion. 

I've always thought he was coming here for a short term deal to get back on his feet and back out to other clubs. I don't think he ever had plans to be here longer than a season regardless of where the club finished. 

These rumors could well be him trying to get a move done before deadline day.

It is all a mess and depressing. The club need to have a plan and convey it to the fans at this point, if it’s accepting our fate and a promise to focus on investing for promotion next year so be it but at this point we need to know because it does look unsettling what we are seeing both on and off the pitch as fans.

All things that we will struggle to get in January. I think that will come in the summer when Brady has had a clear out. 

IF we sell Cole, they might as well put:
"Due to Port Vale having given up and accepted relegation, we're delighted to announce the sale of Devante Cole to XXX".

NOTHING would scream admitting defeat, like selling our top goalscorer!

Glad he is going, poor player, poor attitude, put the young kids in, why not?plus can someone tell me why Kyle John is not in the team? 100% effort and I think our best defender, shorrock plant ect get them in

Top scorer. 2 Assists. Only Paton has more goal contributions than anybody else and he's been ghosted. 

What a season to remember.

This is where with Brady been appointed does he have a bonus if we stay up and the board admit defeat already which if this is the case it’s a crying shame.

Didn't Byers sign a three year deal??
