4 top notch league 1 signings would of been a decent approach 2 years a go when we were still in touching distance.

Were 12 points adrift.

Its over.

Our owners dont have a endless pot of money. Its senseless to chase this now. They've massively messed this up. Save the funds to try and return at the first time of asking again.

Don’t have an endless pit but should have money.
Dipepa sale

Tolaj sale

Curtis sale

Potentially Cole sale

3 excellent cup runs.

They probably spunked a good chunk of that on Cole and hall.

This side is a expensive set of losers.

If we go that route and make a fist of it, fair play. Im just not convinced we will do enough to get enough.

Its a bit like the scarf thing. If your going to do a big grand gesture, then do it properly. If you arent its probably better just save your money. Dont do it in the middle and end up with whatever we got handed on Saturday.

The Fire sale started with Curtis going. It’ll continue now until the squads thinned from branch to root.

Then, I have the feeling that they’ll say next year we’re having a go. But in reality, it’ll be just words. The salaries offered to players will be slashed back and the attempt to push us on will be history.

i think the hierarchy don’t believe we have the funds to be in Lg1 and they’ll settle for being a Lg2 mediocrity club. Long term, that’ll be more sustainable for them. They can run the hub from the club and the fans will soon forget relegation and be happy with the odd win and draw here and there.

Low manager wages, low staff, low risk.

Just a hunch, but the way they’ve acted for the last few months. Something stinks

From memory,  isnt that what happened last relegation? Question not statement

Plymouth have said that he failed a late fitness test.

That’s what Celtic said as well

I don't get the fire sale theory, Curtis was cheesed off  by been played anywhere but the position he was signed for, I don't  blame him for going he was probably looking to leave weeks before JB came.

Cole is a professional footballer, if a chance comes to get another signing on fee he will take it, if we refuse can you imagine his attitude going forward.

As for Tolaj he had a release clause nothing could be done about that.

We are done mate.

No point - only wasting more cash besides who's going to come who would make a real impact when we are so far adrift.

White flag waved.

All the money that goes into the till isn't all profit.

Season ticket holder at sixfields mate, have watched him enough times in the past. His only asset is pace and thats about it.

Don’t even joke about it. I put him on a par with Lofty.

From. eastenders!

I just hope he hasn't got a release clause.  In theory if multiple clubs are after him, it ought to drive the price higher,  but a release clause scuppers that. All clubs would offer the figure and the auction becomes his signing on fee and wages.

Of course Cole will also influence it. He may say I'm not joining, for example,  luton, I want to stay up north, or whatever.

It's a bliddy mess right enough

I understand that. But you can’t have all that I mentioned and barely any be returned to the footballing side, unless we have paid ridiculous prices for Cole and Hall

Anyone notice Tolaj isn't in the Argyle side tonight ? is he injured ? Or is he off? bringing some £££ our way?

He can not sign for anybody else in this transfer window

Id rather a player who is unhappy be gone than stay and take it out on the Vale support

How they report things makes me laugh on social platforms ,Luton after STAR from fellow league 1 side ,star wars, ,star trek ,what star ,no ones a star until i start seeing a W by Port Vales name weekly .

As for Garrity im hearing he may be going ,as more often than not represented us superbly ,so if can overcome is niggles a clubs got a very good player ,v Lincoln away i thought the team had fight in it with him in it since then apart from cup games i aint seen any .

Paton dont agree with personally stick him up front with lad from YorkCity who Vale should have signed and watch him go

Clark i like his enthusiasm but seen on both his league 1 stints that the levels just a bit too good for him unfortunately, not the only one ojo and shipley are serial in this league not up to job  .

Walters should be fresh hardly used superb at Birmingham what we doing saving him for the trophy games .

I maintain we have very good  players whos standards have dropped .

Cole generally played ok ,but if he sees his time with us as a waste of time ,and he doesnt seem the happiest player take the money and let him move on too somewhere else he can sulk if things dont go his way id rather a hungry lad from national league leading the line personally .

Lets see what the week brings in anything

Always said Curtis was good enough and lers face it the last time i saw Vale win at home in league 1 was Dec 2023 Chislett hat trick .

Be nice have players representing us and winning

How they do that is put the best versions of themselves on pitch ,not the jogging back cannot be bothered selves on .
