Well this is depressing.

This all reeks of

Luckily he’s injured so it wouldn’t pass the fitness test but then again….

How many games did he actually play for West Bromwich Albion....I thought he left because he was an expert bench warmer on match days🤔

Still was brought by a decent championship club after performing well for Barnsley at this level. Madness to think he’s the problem and should be let go and even madder to think we will find a better replacement when we’re clearing shopping in the bargain bucket again. If sides going for promotion are in for him, suggests he’s a decent player

"And the cherry on top of the cake is that he won't be available until middle March due to a hamstring injury. But don't worry - we're going to set him on on the hot dog kiosk so he can get amongst the fans."

Smurf style January transfer window?

That's rather optimistic. I'd say it's like shopping in a clearance sale before everything goes to the incinerator.

Correct. Devante Cole is not going to play in L2. Sensible decision is to cash in now.

He will if his employers are in that league. Unless the price is right he can show how good he is and fire us back up. We hold all the cards and have his best years under contract. We can hold out for big bucks I reckon as he’s a proven goalscorer with a long contract.

Blows my mind some fans can’t see what a good player Cole is in L1 and he’s just in a really really poor situation.

Looks like Cole has the choice of big clubs in the league who want to secure promotion.

Good luck to him.

More bigger earners will be up for grabs.

It’s like saying Phelps can’t swim if you put a ball and chain on his ankle. Nobody can score unless they get given the ball in a decent area and whenever he has had service he’s looked really good.

It’s a shame one of those cards didn’t say play him in the middle!

Shipley might think it’s too toxic for him now. I can see him being booed if he was subbed on for example. Not saying I would, but I think he’s become the poster-boy for a recruitment policy that makes us look incompetent. Can’t see him featuring from the start under Brady for a while after Saturday.

Paton unwanted too it seems, it's all a bit of a joke.

Tbh I can't see Ruari going anywhere now especially if Devante does leave which tbh is highly likely. I mean Brady wouldn't want 3 strikers to leave in the January transfer window.

When was the last time we had a good January transfer window? Promotion under Micky Adams, maybe?

It wasn't smurf who presided over the January window the season we went up last time.

We haven't really had good January windows in recent times apart from the Connor hall / legge one from memory. I remember the Micky Adams one with purse and Hughes coming in which got us up and over the line

Agree. Cole is a good player in the wrong team. Living off scraps that he has to go hunting for. Just like Curtis being hamstrung in his position and for Tolaj until his true position was forced upon Moore. Like Garrity who was rocking and 1st name on the team sheet until Moore pulled him back and stuck shackles on him. Garrity, wing back FFS.
Cole is surrounded by a squad lacking in quality in numbers and having the sense adventure coached out of them.

Moores made a real mess. Hancock & Carol have sat and watched the continued abuse and “hoping” it would be ok.

Now the Vale pay the penance. White flag waving. Fire sale.

Carol is being advised and directed by people way way out of their depth and the result is upon us all.

All aboard the insane train
