Cole gets paid a big wage and that should be an attractive enough proposition. He is part of the reason why we are not an attractive proposition. This idea that we should sell on any good player who finds himself in a tough place due to being part of a poor team is just promoting the view that players don’t need to take responsibility. If the team they are a part of is bad, they can go. If every player in a team thinks that, you will never have a committed, dedicated team.

All reasons why he’ll be off. You’re looking at it through rose tinted glasses. If a play off chasing club are allegedly in for him. Do you think he’ll be thinking to himself that he’ll hang around to get us out of this mess that he’s a part of? I don’t for one minute. I think he’ll go.

If he doesn’t want to be here then we may as well get rid.

With only 12 months left on his deal, his value will decrease significantly.  Prices are high in January.  If its a good deal I'd take it.  We'd then have to look at a different pairing up front, which may not be a bad thing.

Especially as if we don't pander to his wishes he could suddenly get a muscle or groin strain and be out until May. Its not like he would be losing any WIN bonuses is it . He doesn't need to go on strike when a nice little medical issue would net the same result.

It won’t be anywhere close to 7 figures mate.

but we can dream.

If there's a fee that triggers a release in his contract then I'd expect it would be close to that fee.

On the other hand if there are 4 clubs in for his services then it could trigger a bidding war, most clubs in/near to the play-offs are looking for goal scorers in the Jan window to get them over the line so DC could fetch a premium.

Whatever happens the season so far has been a poop show and it may get worse.

Hasn't Brady got a bit of a reputation at Northampton for taking chances on unknown players and polishing them up a bit to get the best out of them

Although that might have been because of his budget,so i would hope he gets a bit of backing here(unless she really has had enough) to bring in a couple who are currently playing in the EFL even if that is with an eye on next season

I thought Cole started really well and looked to be what we were missing. If we're honest, he hasn't been that great after his first 5 or 6 games. Yes, the team is struggling but look at Wareham for Exeter on Saturday, never gave our centre halves a minutes peace and looked really capable of leading the line by himself.

I think Cole is a bit of a fair weather player. He's great if you're presenting him with easy chances but he's not the guy for a struggling team. You basically need a young Stockley to fight and battle for the ball...Cole just isn't that player. He also seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder, which is not what we need in our current situation.

How on earth can Exeter, with not a pot to piss in, pick up on the potential of someone like Wareham who wasn't getting a game at Reading, yet we end up with Waine and Faal. Whoever is scouting has a really poor eye for potential.

I actually fear that the free fall we are seeing at the moment could result in us losing our place in the football league.
Things are clearly in an utter mess on and off the pitch.

Some fans might be really angry with the owners right now but imo there is no way on earth Carol would want to risk us going out of the League no matter what the cost,i mean what a legacy that would be for her

Honestly I didn't think it was possible but this season is genuinely worse than the 23/24 one.

Time to blood in the kids and loaned returners for me. Give them a go now so we can see if they'll be good enough for league 2. Any starting XI without Walters would be a disgrace. Same goes for Plant, Shorrock & Lomax as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully a few of the under 18s will be given a chance to shine. 5th out of 21 in the youth Alliance which is pretty decent. Big Joe Williams was given a pro deal in the summer so let's see what he's made of. Throw Miracle up front for the final 10 of a couple of matches. They can't be worse than the current crop.

You’re right. The one saving grace is that if Cole goes we can’t get Loft back as he’s already played for 2 clubs.

Without a doubt on several fronts.
