If it were me, I would come off (A500) at the city centre turn off (A53) follow that road as though you were going to Leek through Cobridge lights then take a left onto Sandbach Rd / then Sneyd Hill, which will take you upto Smallthorne roundabouts. Left turn at the roundabout and easy from there. 👍

Just realised where this way is 🙂 I can come through Hanley/turn right at the Cobridge lights then left on to Sandbach Road to the top.....thanks for that me owd fruit

Setting off in an hour. Wanting to get to Burslem for about 12. I can’t wait to see a packed Burslem celebrating.

Just googled it and it looks like its closed from the Haywood to the little roundabout,i have no idea on routes now as i usually use the same 2 or 3 ways to get there but they are all blocked off

Does anyone know if i can come through Tunstall go up Queens Avenue /Green Bank Road and turn right at the top?? as it looks like High Lane is closed if you turn left and not right past the Haywood

Or

Can I can up Waterloo Road up to the lights in Burslem and turn right towards Hamil Road as it looks like Market Place is only closed if you turn left??

Any help from those who live that end is very much appreciated

Looking on Causeway one.network, yes you can drive along Waterloo road to the lights and turn right and then up the Hamil.

Watching TV this morning and FALKIRK have won promotion to Scottish Premieeship last night after a 3-1 victory over HAMILTON ACADEMICALS for the first time since 2010. Their fans invaded the pitch at full time joyous and boisterous celebrations good natured. Same as Will be seen at VP today. So FA what is the problem? It's the end of the season and it's a celebration. In the crazy world that we now live in. Should it not be good for everyone's mental health to have some joy in the world.

The problem is m8 that a) it's against the law. It's that simple. And b) Carol/the club will get smacked with a big fine. Money we could put towards players or opening up the rest of the Lawn Street

Simples. Stay OFF the pitch

Yeah I can’t see some fans not invading the pitch at the end, especially if it’s a title win.

Seems like an age since we can say we can relax and enjoy the last game of the season with no pressure. What a feeling.

I just hope people don’t start booing. If there is any kind of pitch invasion rightly or wrongly it’s in good spirits and I’d imagine they’ll come off quite quickly.

One child ready for gymnastics. One ready for rugby. One ready for swimming. Get those out of the way and ready to go, but all these road warnings are putting me on edge.

I can't set off until 12:00 and then pray to the M6 gods for a clear run before I get to navigate Burslem.

The law is not enforceable when thousands of people go onto the pitch to celebrate. Have you seen any arrests banning orders from Doncaster last weekend? No its just Vale who are being killjoys.

Historically the FA are pretty lenient about end of season celebrations and fines are peanuts compared to the gate receipts of the match.

If it was an opponent where it would likely kick off I can understand but its bloody Gillingham, with nothing to play for deemed low risk because we got the go-ahead to segregate the stand.

Stay off the pitch  all week is a bit over the top in my view.

Tell that to the handful who'll get their collar felt.

We got 15k fine v Swindon

25k for the lone invader v portsmouth

We will be up for 75k I reckon..that's not peanuts

Agree it's surely better to stay off the pitch and use the money to pay for a new player. It's the club which loses.
