Another desperate game of football apart from the first 20 minutes when I thought we were ok without being free flowing.  I must have been to a different game than Moore tonight if he felt we played well and did enough to win 2/3 games, the second half was truly awful and so boring with the exception of a near miss from a set play by Jerry.  I can't believe he came out with he picked a positive attacking team, it is 5 defenders, 3 defensive midfield players and 2 forwards.  We basically have 8 outfield players who will never score more than 3 or 4 in a season starting which leaves the only realistic chance of scoring down to Tolaj and Curtis.  If you are going to play this formation, you have to find room for either Chislett or Rico, a midfield 3 of Byers, Harper and Croasdale will never work.

I am so bored of watching the games under Moore and for me I would not make a change now but regardless, whether we are in league 2 or league 1, he would not be here next season for me, would be harsh for most if we go up but Sheffield Wednesday got rid after a play off win.  As someone mentioned earlier, the entertainment value is next to nothing.  If we go up, everyone will be over the moon but I just look back to that promotion season under Adams when we had so many great games, 5 at Fleetwood, 6 at home to Rotherham, 7 against Burton, 4 against Wycombe, Bristol, Plymouth, great win against Cheltenham in the snow when things looked we were dropping away, another 4 or 5 games where we scored 3.  This year other than Newport away, spells in the games against Wimbledon, Fleetwood and Chesterfield, have we been entertained and left thinking what a good game of football that was.

Once heard Danny Baker on R5 Live say that all refs are either bent or incompetent. Thought it was very harsh at the time but the performances are so increasingly poor these days that it makes you wonder. Summat’s up because you don’t get these problems in other sports, especially rugby.

Crap. Darren Bores football would put a glass eye to sleep but…. We didn’t lose so there is some small positive. Move on need to start picking up some wins if we are going to make automatics.

Spot on. The football is so dire under Moore I’m not sure I can watch anymore. Even when we win it’s turgid boring stuff coupled with the fear of conceding in case we have to go and score two to win. Always used to look forward seeing the Vale but now it’s a complete chore. The bloke doesn’t seem to know how to play attacking football and it’s taken him the best part of the season to start playing two up front. Hope we go up but can’t see it. Goodness knows what the players think.

Two games on paper we expected to take maximum points and we’ve only scored one goal. Sums where we are to me and most of the season, in terms of we’re a dull watch who won’t score enough goals to go up automatic. Lose the next two and we will looking over our shoulders to stay In the top 7, take 4 points and we will be thinking we have a chance. Huge two games coming up.

Spot on. He can't get a tune out of some good players. It took him a long time to find his best 11 when must fans could have told him . Hope we scrape the PO but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Goals are a problem. Entertainment is zero.. Is he not playing chiz because he wanted out? Fingers crossed for the next one

We’ve won 2 games in 3 years on a Tuesday night in a league fixture.

Mansfield at home in the promotion season and Harrogate away this season.

Tolaj had to keep dropping back for the ball because no one else was bringing it forward...I felt he was the only one who was going to score, but to do that he would have to create it all by himself! Totally agree with your other points too.

I thought we played well tonight, more clinical finishing and it’s easily 2/3 win, that’s before the stonewall pen that wasn’t given and the pen/ foul right on the edge of the penalty area, Umolu’s best game for us and was unlucky when fouled(again not given).

agree re Byers to say he’s touted as the best midfielder in this division, I’m still waiting for him to do anything of note.
