How are Vale favourites? Based on what ?

We are not good enough, don’t have enough quality or no pace in the side.

I think it will be play offs and I wouldn’t fancy us in those.

Yeah your spot on mate our attacking  threat looked non existent second half , why didn't Darren stick chiz and Hackford on instead of Richards who always flatters to decieve and omlu is still learning his trade tour manager just didn't have a clue

Apart from Bradford who will go up automatically then? If Vale are not good enough to go up because we drew with Harrogate then surely Dons, Doncaster, Notts County and Crewe won't go up either based on tonight's results? Or we could just agree that football doesn't work like that and that Vale have just as much of a chance to get promoted than all those teams?

Walsall, Bradford and Doncaster will be the promoted teams.

We expect our side to be on the front foot and not let the game just drift away the manager and players bottled it today

We didn't bottle as much as Doncaster, Grimsby, Dons, Notts County or Crewe though did we?

Yes it was a poor performance, but based on tonight's results it says more about the League in general.

Nowhere near the ball. It was on the other side of Richards.

Got the ball son and outside the box.

Don't start with the patronising names "boy". (I'm sure I'm older than you.)

I made no claim it was inside the box. The ball is that round thing not what's inside the other player's socks.

I wonder if tonight will be seen as over reacting bed wetting?

Bradford looking like EFL2 champions in waiting.

Despite a frustrating evening, results elsewhere mean that Vale are still favourites for the automatics.

Fancy a bet on it?

Fiver from the loser to the charity chosen by the winner?

I say Vale will make the automatic spots.

You think not.

Why do we slow the game down at every ducking opportunity when we have the ball?

Freekicks, thrown ins, goalkicks you name it slow it down. Don’t know why Harrogate felt the need to time waste we did it for them!

Zero idea or creativity.

150th anniversary going to be spent in L2 because DM couldn’t inspire a group of players to stay in L1 and doesn’t know how to play against teams who just want to defend.

<ovf censored> DM.

Boooooooooo

Lacklustre by Vale 2nd half, just didn't get going.

Definite pen from Curtis' shot in first few mins of  2nd half, defenders arm was away from his body, if we get the pen and score it's a different game.  Only other chance fell to Jerry who created it himself but pulled it just wide. Summed the game up for me, almost but not quite.

Thought DM would have put Chizz on rather than Jerry.

The same Doncaster that lost tonight? Who are only 4 points ahead of us having played 2 games more?

You are exhibiting prejudice rather than judgement.

Outside the box yes, but a crystal clear foul.

Frustrating game that one. We almost looked like we lacked any urgency to win it......couldn't work it out. Second half I could just see them nicking one, fortunately, they didn't. Croasdale looks shot and needs a rest. I think he's gone mentally and physically and is literally playing from memory. Is Byers ready for this run-in? I'm not sure but he's definitely no use playing that deep.

I'm not one to dig players out but Harty scares the Bejesus out of me when he's given the ball in his own half.

The refs two big decisions he got totally wrong; the handball early second half was a definite penalty. I wasn't convinced at first but on the replay the lad is trying to charge it down but the hand it hits is lifted. Richards running through has his legs taken but it is just outside the box. Should have been a free kick ...red card? Not sure. The ref was well positioned to make both decisions but didn't!

I still think there's a lot of football yet and our final position is still in our own hands and you can't wish for more than that BUT we are not playing playing well at the moment and that is the worrying part. We could struggle at Fleetwood on Saturday. However, there have been and will continue to be, some topsy turvey results in this league so it's still all to play for just VERY FRUSTRATING! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

I'm with you, Vale to finish 3rd.

Thought byers was that far back he was playing in goal.
