Port Vale v Harrogate match thread - 4th March

Featured Replies

Apologies to the terminally optimistic but that was terrible.

A severe lack of energy, final pass was either backwards , cut out or to nobody. Ran out of ideas after 15 minutes and lost all momentum.

Surely hackford comes on before umulu when we need a goal umulu is so far out of his depth someone should throw him a rubber ring.

I can't believe I managed to watch that to the end I'd had enough after 60 minutes it had 0-0 written all over it.

That said the handball was a clear penalty and it was a clear foul on richards nowhere near the ball and took his legs from under him.

Set pieces were dire and harrogate weren't even made to work for that point.

top three? Too many draws, not enough goals and we never turn up on a tuesday night so I really can't see it.

one more thing, byers isnt doing anywhere near enough, not living up to the hype at all for me.

Just seen Tracey’s leg break on rewind of the Crewe game - horrific.

There are no penalties in that. No wins against tranmere or Harrogate. Don't deserve go up. Shocking.

It's league 2 mate, Tranmere just took a point at Grimsby. Walsall drew with bottom of the table. Wimbledon lost to 2nd bottom. Notts County lost at home. Do those teams not deserve to go up also or just Vale?

That’s it. DM can do one for me.

He’s let that game drift 2nd half had the subs ready to come on for 10 minutes before finally making the change.

Played 3 midfielders who are pretty defensive against a bottom 6 team.

Not a cat in hells chance this team will get promoted with DM.

Boring boring Vale.

Now we know why Sam Alilison has dropped from PL games down to L2. Ducking abysmal. What a bottle job.

Welcome to the dark side , mate 😬

All said, with a fit Stockley we win tonight, and perhaps nick all 3 points against Tranmere too.

We don't score enough goals. Connor Hall wow he can't pass a ball ten yards. Awful vale. Get the rose tinted spec's out. We ain't going anywhere. Piss poor.

The good thing is that we are still very much in this with other sides dropping points.  I can only assume that their forums must read very much like ours at this point.  Only Bradford showing consistent, winning, form at this point.

Bradford looking like EFL2 champions in waiting.

Despite a frustrating evening, results elsewhere mean that Vale are still favourites for the automatics.

How are Vale favourites? Based on what ?

We are not good enough, don’t have enough quality or no pace in the side.

I think it will be play offs and I wouldn’t fancy us in those.

We've got nothing. If we can make Tranmere and Harrogate look better than us what chance have we got

Walsall have bagged the points and none of the others will go automatically.

We expect our side to be on the front foot and not let the game just drift away the manager and players bottled it today

Moore wouldn’t have played a fit Stockley, that would have been too sensible.

Good teams find a way to win.
