That’s as maybe, but as I say, if you don’t win the play-offs then it becomes a poor season. I don’t see us winning the play-offs at this point.

I agree that no promotion whether that’s automatics or via the playoffs would be a failure with the squad we have. Until then its if’s, but’s & maybe’s mate. I’m disappointed with the last 2 performances 😏

All said, with a fit Stockley we win tonight, and perhaps nick all 3 points against Tranmere too.

What’s a fit Stockley? 😅

The same Doncaster that lost tonight? Who are only 4 points ahead of us having played 2 games more?

So we need to play five times against really bad side to get five points to overtake them.🤣

Hey, give us some credit, we can manage a point a game against good sides as well.

Absolutely certain we'll get beaten at Fleetwood. I'll even have money on it. They've just come away from Crewe scoring 4 and we can't score at home against 1 of the worst defensive teams in the league. I'd even be surprised if we get more than 1 point in our game in hand against Colchester

To be fair I would put money on the bad injury to one of their players affecting the rest of the Crewe side last night.

Let’s not make excuses for them 😂

Has there been an official timeline given for Garrity’s return? I’ve heard 2-8 weeks, and it’s now in the middle of those. He’s the 1 player that links everything together and nobody can replace him. In the summer our no.1 priority needs to be getting in a real box to box midfielder who is in the same mould for cover and competition.

He has had 20 days out so far, I'm afraid we need to have a few more games of tedium without him, starting at Fleetwood on Saturday.

Crowd was pretty decent in numbers ,in encouragement they were not though fair play to the 47 Harrogate who attended .

Just read that was there second 11 so doesn't say much for Vale at all .

I didn't see enough positive play especially second half Shorrock it's too big a ask for him do it ,and Harts struggling ,Byers for someone so highly rated was very quiet ,and Croasdale didn't function at all ,Hall had the ball probably 65 mins out the 90 .

There's something very wrong with the engine room .

Harper actually did ok first half then disappeared second half .

It's all a bit odd but Hall was having all the responsibility passed to him .

Don't get me started on corners did we win a ball going into box .

Some players come off the pitch with there shorts as clean as when went on

Like I say not enough desire from far too many ,drive the determination just wasn't there .

Too soft

Clark i felt  was poor

To be honest Hall and Tolaj and Smith,John  best of a very ordinary bunch of footballers the other 7 didn't shine anywhere near enough .

Corners.

Think first half Shorrock failed to beat the man on at least 3 occasions. Compared to they had a couple of beauties in the last moments of the first half that gave us real trouble.

Second half we get one by the paddock. Play it short. Back to Shorrock who is blown over by a puff of wind, throw in to Harrogate.

Lo and behold we change the taker, not sure then if it was Curtis or Byers. And yes we finally avoid the first man, only for it to sail over everyone and it goes out for a throw in at Lorne Street.

Staggering.

Our set pieces are atrocious & have been for some time now. What about our throw ins 😂 And why do we take an absolutely age to take them. Doesn’t help either when nobody shows for them. No urgency at all

Well I know he didn't play last night but we have our long throw king Debrah and then Hart incredibly had a bash last night.

There is zero movement off throw ins but those long throws are pitiful. Make Dan Jones look like he man .

I was never impressed with Jones’ either. Did we ever score off it in 2 years? Maybe I recall one but could be wrong 😆

Must be doing something right, currently 6th. Having played less games, than anyone in the top 15. With only 13 games to go. Or were you expecting us to walk the league?

I thought we were decent in the first half and created some good chances. Belshaw was putting in a good performance in goal and both Curtis and Tolaj looked lively.

Despite that our set pieces and time taken on throwins were beginning to frustrate. I can remember atleast 3 times in first half where Byers played it back when he could have done something else.

2nd half was terrible. Harper dipped massively and nothing came off for shorrock (who is at his best when he gets to gallop down the wing). Thought we should have subbed on Richards on about 55 minute when it is clear it wasn't working.

Harper , Croasdale and Byers didn't seem to work that well as a midfield 3 as no one got forward enough and occupied each others space (possibly why Byers kept dropping deep).

On a positive (although marginal) umolu looked the most lively I have seen him.

Usual performance.

It's been like this for most games this season?

Sometimes we get a bit of luck/quality and edge it, other times we don't.

We don't look like a promotion side to me though.

I can just copy and paste for every game to be honest.

I don't think Carol is getting a return on her huge investment. If I'd spent £500k on transfers with a massive wage bill on top, I'd expect more than this.

Surely that return can only be judged after game 46 though?
