Absolutely spot on. It feels like, win or lose, there’s always a tendency to focus on what Moore should have done differently. I’ve been a strong supporter of him over the past few months, and while he's not been without fault, he is yet again showing how he can churn out three points.

The return of Garrity has undoubtedly been a major factor in the turnaround, but losing a player of his calibre was always going to have a significant impact. You only need to look at how Guardiola’s struggles without Rodri, he is the heartbeat of City’s midfield, and when he’s absent, their whole rhythm is off. Garrity plays a similar role for us. The loss of Garrity, along with Byers to some extent, and Harper’s injury were, in my opinion, key reasons for the blip. I pointed this out several times during that period.

He’s not perfect, but to have Port Vale sitting in 3rd place with 20 games left is a solid, and we’re definitely in contention for promotion. If it doesn’t come this season, so be it—progress is still being made after a couple of poor years.

I also think Moore gets more stick than he deserves, partly because his personality isn’t similar to a Clarke or an Adams’. But those are different styles, and Moore’s steady approach is working, even if it doesn’t always get the credit it deserves.

Sadly there are fans who have decided that Moore is not the man for Vale and they will never change their opinion.

Lose and it's all on him, win and we were lucky, how many games have we won under Moore by 'lucky goals' or penalties, or playing 9/10 men (even though we were winning by the time players were sent off!)?

You cannot please every fan no matter who the manager is and even if we manage to get promotion, certain fans will bang on about how poor the League is, or the money spent taking us up, not the managers tactics etc. and he won't be any good in League One.

If show all second goal  on highlights watch the contribution of at least 5 players all impressive if I'm correct John get ball burst s up the field plays ball to Clark who then plays a delightful ball down channel to Tolaj who put in a ball what was class Croasdale /heads down Stockley finishes it a wonderful goal .

Also fantastic spot by John to pick out Headley for the 3rd. Think possibly took a deflection before it reached Headley but still a great spot by John.

There's an agenda against Moore. Absolutely no doubt about that.

Win and it's down to the players. Lose and it's down to him.

It's almost like there's something else driving this agenda, and it's got nothing to do with football...

It's a conclusion I think gets thrown around too often (if you're thinking the same as me) but I have started to wonder exactly the same thing. Some of the criticism, after wins in particular, is completely irrational. You're left wondering what's the real issue here.

It was Smith who headed it down for Stockley.

Absolutely.

But if we chalk off "Nippy Naylor" and his dozen or so anti-Moore aliases, the picture becomes a lot more balanced.

Smith headed it down not Croasdale

Hell's bells, I hope it's not what you're alluding to!
