It was very noticeable well DM hooked off Hart they virtually never came in to our half again. Well done Tom Sang.

If show all second goal  on highlights watch the contribution of at least 5 players all impressive if I'm correct John get ball burst s up the field plays ball to Clark who then plays a delightful ball down channel to Tolaj who put in a ball what was class Croasdale /heads down Stockley finishes it a wonderful goal .

Moore of that

You almost got it right, DP, it was your fave, Smudge, who did the lovely cushion header down to Stockley!  Watch how he celebrates when the ball hits the net!!

There's an agenda against Moore. Absolutely no doubt about that.

Win and it's down to the players. Lose and it's down to him.

It's almost like there's something else driving this agenda, and it's got nothing to do with football...

It’s the  ‘Never rated him’ ‘I was right’ ‘Didn’t want him as manager in the 1st place’  brigade can’t wait for failure.

Has Paton started as many games ?

He’s also been played out of his natural position or as a lone striker, he’s not really been given the same chance as Hackford. Why do we persist in playing loan players at the expense of bringing our own permanent signings on. I could understand it with the likes of Arblaster but not Hackford.

They are always right, every manager fails eventually (Except the likes of Alex Ferguson) It is what they do before then that counts, results keep them in the job.

If you didn't enjoy yesterday's game and the passages of excellent play, impressive ball control etc you need to find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon. 😁

I enjoyed the second half but the first half was similar to having dental surgery 😁

I think we got to strap ourselves in. Football is weird. Going be a bumpy ride till May.

Look at Salford won 6 in a row, turned over at home by mid table Fleetwood. MK Dons have suddenly imploded conceding goals for fun, 6 at Newport and 4 at Walsall. Think they'd also won 5 or 6 on the bounce before this poor run.

Because of how tight things are we have some humdingers to play.

Salford, Notts County and Bradford at home.

Chesterfield, Crewe, Walsall and Wimbledon away.

Us fans are going to have a big part to play. Saw Stockley being interviewed by that young lad and he said the fans were excellent the last half an hour.

That's what we need, not boos after 15 mins however crap we might be playing.

As others have said Garrity is our Rodri. Stats back that up.

Garrity stays fit till May we are banging on that promotion door.

I'm as critical as the next person but things like the whole ground cheering Hart off the pitch whilst understandable isn't great is it.

We need that second half atmosphere more, it obviously feeds off the performance I get that but at times it resembles a morgue and is very quiet.

The atmosphere goes hand in hand with the players showing fight and endeavour, like to see it for 90 minutes and not the last 30 mins but was a much needed win for us , so UTV .

Neither Stockley nor Harper could play 90 minutes. That is why they didn’t start.

Hackford is absolutely not above Stockley in the pecking order. And he’s only been playing because Stockley is unfit / injured.

baffled at you comment about Sang. Whilst I agree he was excellent (up there for player of the season for me) but some would argue he’s a right footed wing back / midfielder so how is that a “simple change that nearly everyone could call”.

the days of always starting with your strongest 11 are long gone. As you can now change 50% of your outfield players during every game, it’s as important to end games with your strongest team now otherwise you’ll constantly throw games away at the death.

Days ain’t gone with starting your strongest 11, most teams do it. I’ll give you the Sang sub but the others were obvious and shouldn’t have been needed. Even if Stockley and Harper could play 90 minutes and I doubt you are correct regarding Stockley, they should have started and had at least an hour but anyway, Sang in the center is a better option than Lowe as is Richards if he is fit and still with us.

We lost the first half because the tactics and team selection were wrong, luckily we turned it around in the second half. You can try and defend that firs5 half team selection but I will disagree.

It was Smith who headed it down for Stockley.

Smudger is a little ledge , it's no coincidence we've started getting positive results since he come back in the team

Smith and Garrity coming back in the team have made a massive difference.

It's a conclusion I think gets thrown around too often (if you're thinking the same as me) but I have started to wonder exactly the same thing. Some of the criticism, after wins in particular, is completely irrational. You're left wondering what's the real issue here.

I don't think it's gounds for conspiracy theories but it is ridiculous behaviour given the results.

I suppose it's just the usual fickle attitude of some Fans no matter the reality.

Yep Tom Sang looks a class act this season should be one of the first names on the team sheet 👍 imo

Yeah I put that in last paragraph. I get that, I'm as guilty, sit there with my arse on my hands. It's up to the players to get us going but too often at home I might add, the atmosphere is stale.

Away the atmosphere is generally excellent, most clubs would say the same though.

Paton hasn't been given the chance to show what he can do. Look how Tolaj looks a different player now he's playing in his natural position.  If Paton leaves without being given that chance Vale will lose a terrific asset, and a valuable one too.

The manager can't play everyone in a front two. If Paton plays there then either Tolaj or Stockley don't. When he has started up front he hasn't really impressed. Stockley and Tolaj look to be the two who should now be the preferred front pairing. With Paton, the new lad and Hackford as the ones on the bench to maybe coming on later.
