I'm convinced the lineups are pulled out of a hat.

"Let's see who is playing CB today...ah it's Kyle John, a WB"

Funny though - man of the match first half only eclipsed by Clark for an overall man of the match.

Don't you see the similarity in the thinking playing John at RCB as playing Sang at RCB another WB? John had a huge impact at RCB stepping into the midfield 2nd half.

Hart- DM had no choice playing a left footer for balance otherwise he would have had to start John and Sang either side of Smith. He could have played Henegahn central but then Smith would be RCB which hinders attacking play.

In the end we did have Sang and John either side to chase the game which worked a treat.

Your criticism seems very harsh to me.

(Some) fans: Drop Heneghan and put Smith in the middle!

DM: *Drops Heneghan, puts Smith in the middle*

(Some) fans: What's this team selection, why isn't Heneghan playing? Moore out!

I think some of us who are baffled at team selection, subs etc should actually listen to the manager's team news and post match interviews both with the club and radio stoke. He actually addresses a lot of the stuff people talk about.

Section of fans have stopped listening and only want to criticise. We could win promotion but there's a section will still want him going regardless.

Crazy.

Heneghan wasn't on because he wanted a balanced back 3, with Hart on the left. Makes complete sense. Height had nothing to do with either goal conceded, the first was flicked over Hart at the back post, Heneghan wouldn't have been there, the 2nd was purely down to Hart being weak, falling over and the lad having a free header around waist height.

The problems we faced 1st half yesterday were completely unforeseeable. Moore tried to stick to a winning team as close as possible, which we're all crying out for. Harsh on Heneghan, but his position was taken by Smith, who had a great game. Or he could have put Smith on the right of the back 3...but would anyone say he got the right hand side wrong? John and Clarke were immense.

Unfortunately some people's minds are made up re Moore. The criticism I've seen of him so far are ridiculously lazy. Cliches, like tinker man, square pegs round holes etc....but no one can back the criticism up with anything of any substance. The changes he made are completely logical if you give it any more than a seconds thought. Square pegs (from a comment I saw on X), who played out of position yesterday in the starting 11? And then to further show how ridiculous that comment is, Sang came on at left side of centre half and was absolutely immense. That's about as squarer peg as you're likely to see.

The only criticism I could throw at Moore would just be how the team seemed so lethargic 1st half, and that's mainly on the players, he wouldn't have told them to play that way. At the same time, the ref played a big part in that. Any time we got close to them, they fell over and he fell for it. So you could say, Moore didn't quite get the best out of them, but that's not all on him. We showed small glimpses in the 1st half of how dangerous we could be when we were aggressive and pressed them hard.

So that's where you have to give Moore credit, he wasn't standing there watching the game pass us by. He made 3 brilliant changes of personnel that changed the game. Great management. One of our heroes Clarke had a great plan B. But for that to be evident, plan A has to have gone wrong.

Yesterday was a really entertaining game, we had 21 shots, 10 on target. Won, coming from behind for the first time this season. Scored 3 goals. A great day...yet the first thing people think of is, get on the manager's back with lazy ill thought out criticism. Who'd be a football manager eh. About as clear as it gets that you can never win with some people.

This is it guys 👍 great post 👌👏

This match was definitely one where the selections and tactics determined by the Manager were evident and clearly made a positive difference as the game progressed, particuarly in the second half of course.

It wasn't a blockbuster but it was a solid performance all round. I'm much encouraged .

Delighted with win, especially coming from behind twice.  Credit to manager for the changes but for me second half performance proved he had picked the wrong starting 11.  Harper & Stockley should have started rather than Lowe & Hackford.

The biggest change in the game as far as I could see was that there suddenly appeared to be a front foot mentality, with players not only passing the ball forwards but busting a gut to get themselves forward also to support the move. The change was after the subs came on but it wasn't just the subs, there was an urgency to get forward, winning second balls and keeping the pressure on the opposition, not allowing them to get back in the game. I don't know why this attitude has not been there very often this season but it is fantastic to see it when it is. Footie fans are the same the world over and talking to the County fans in the Bulls Head sounded oh so familiar.

Whatever team and tactics DM picks next match should be irrelevant, if they show the same attitude as the last 30 minutes we will probably win.

Spot on if we played all 90 like last 35 minutes we be winning by 5 clear goals every week it was brilliant to out of that seat cheering our not stop bust a gut last 35 a centre half nearly scored aswell and would have done for a brilliant save by Newports no 1

LOVED IT

Last 35 repeated every home game wins us all remaining home games.

It was that good

DELIGHTED.

Kyle John played really well , and set up the 3rd . The only mistake in selection  for me was it should have been sang for hart

hes created a squad so that we can flip a game on its head if not working

we have won a lot of games through the subs made and that’s football !

There'll be changes next week guaranteed.

I want to see Heneghan in at Chesterfield, horses for courses.

Sadly for Heneghan he's better away from home when the onus isn't on us.

Also expect a recall for Hall if fit.

That leaves a big conundrum because Smith and John don't deserve dropping. Hart 100% dropped.

Again whatever he chooses DM will be slated once the line ups are announced.

Pre kick off though who chooses Sang as left sided centre half ?

Not many that's for sure.

And despite his performance I'd be worried if he starts there at Chesterfield.

Folk will always have there favourites in, but agree Henegan and Hall will be be back next week alongside Smith who's performances are very good so fair play to him.

The set up at home yesterday for me is the way go you score 3 we score 4 etc really enjoyable and it will get the punters back in for sure.
