    I thought it was quite noticeable that Ripley was bowling the ball out to players.  He kicked long a lot less, making a big difference!

    I’ve a feeling about tonight, it’s going to be either a goal fest or a bore draw. Paton and bbb coming in, not sure for who,. Vale 9 Colchester 3. Hat tricks for tolaj and stockley, 2 for Chissy and 1 Paton. Stung by our attack in a free flowing game we will concede from a corner, free kick and own goal.

    A little surprised Chislett for Tolaj is the only change, but Sang keeping his spot is obviously a sign Moore wants to be on the front foot. I would have started any of the four forwards on the (very strong) bench over Hackford, but still not complaining: we have a really strong squad.
