Match thread : Port Vale v Colchester United, 1st Oct

Featured Replies

Anticipate a bit of squad rotation on Tuesday.

Can we finally get the Tuesday monkey off our back in a league game.

They got spanked 4-0 at Poundland so might be defensively vulnerable if we can get at them early doors.

Can't second guess DM, but I wouldn't be shocked to see maybe 3 changes with Croasdale, Chizzy and Curtis involved.

2-1 again, 4863 attendance.

Will Vale continue their unbeaten run, will they make more of the chances on Tuesday, what formation will Darren Moore pick?

Share your thoughts on the next home game here...

Strange side Colchester, score a lot but concede loads so may need to be more clinical, in Taylor and Tovide they have two handy strikers.

Win here would be massive and set up a real humdinger at Meadow Lane.

Can we end the 2 and a half year wait for a Tuesday night league win though?

Arguably the harder of the 2 games.

Hopefully they still shell-shocked from yesterday.

As i said in the Swindon match thread I would like to see Paton come in for Hackford for this one

The beauty of it all is that we have such a strong squad now,we can make quality changes if needs be

Only definite change I'd make is Hackworth for either ruari or chiz.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Deb come back in for sang either despite a good game Saturday

Is it this point we mention the two and a half year winless run in the league on a Tuesday night… all be it the only positive is it was the last time we played a league Two fixture on a Tuesday night we won!

I think we’re building some fantastic momentum and every game it’s clear to see that the squad are collectively gelling. Let’s keep the 3-points rolling 😎 UTV

I couldn’t believe chislet was left on the bench on Saturday as we needed to kill teams off and Swindon’s late goal was unnecessary IMOHO

It looks like Colchester were seriously undone by Walsall stocy striker Jelli, and this game is seemingly ready made for Ruari to lead the strike line mixed with height from Stockley.

Also Colchester were undone by pace and probly a good game for Curtis to start. 3-1 Vale Paton, Stockley and one from Byers.

Anyone’s guess of the personnel & line up 😅 Fancy a 3-0 win Tuesday under the lights 💪🏻 Let’s keep the momentum going lads 💙

THIS is a great opportunity to press forward this season..,.

Colchester ARE NO Chelsea.....

3-0 the VALE.....😊👍❤️💯

Booked night off so can go home after match.

Looking forwards to it

Not going be easy that's for sure

The cowley brothers are decent

My team

     Ripley

Debrah Henegan Hall

Cover.                      John

   Byers Croasdale

        Chislett

Paton Stockley .

Tolaj /Garrity /Hackford to be rested and Debrah come in for Sang as different game altogether

Different opposition requires different formations.

I'd like see Curtis aswell for Cover at some point maybe after 60 mins

Tues night and I'm looking forwards to it who'd have thought .

Another big hurdle to to win on a Tuesday night.

I know DM is very very aware of this and I think he will have our players really fired up for this.
