Bolton (A) match thread - 20th April

Looked a proper team this season Oxford and played very well today.

They've got some cracking players.  Puts us to shame that given last season.

Deserved it.

It just goes to show what little Port Vale could do if they had the drive and ambition

The obvious reason is that when they have crippled or poor performing players, they get rid of them and keep the decent ones. We did the exact opposite. 
 

I would love to know the difference in our budgets that has given us league 2 football, while they get the Championship. 

I work with an Oxford fan and he tells me that their owners subsidise player wages to the tune of £2m a year. They won’t be allowed To do that in the championship as the rules are different for FFP. Will be interesting to see how they do.

I'd anticipate they'll really struggle to stay up.

But fair play to them. Last season was a blip . They've regularly been top 10 or higher . Outplayed Bolton and could of won by more easily. Bolton were shocking.

I thought they were probably the best side we played this season. They hammered us at vale park (but actually looked decent unlike everyone else that hammered us) glad they’ve gone up.

I dread to think what the reaction would have been on OVF if we turned in a performance like that one from the expensively assembled Bolton Wanderers, Oxford outthought and outfought Bolton, they were atrocious.

Left that match at half time. It was a walkover. Could see no way we could compete in the economy period. Left cold and miserable.

I heard that she hadn't sold. But was actually looking for investors?????

However, a bit of a harsh comment if she has sold.

I might be wrong but isn't the 180m the investment,I dont think they have bought it as in the whole shabang but as i say i could be wrong
