In my opinion we've simply got to get this lad starting. He offered more in 15 minutes yesterday than the rest of them put together. 

Get him ripping up the wing and putting it in for Garrity, Chislett, Wilson or Loft and we will start scoring from open play for once.

Mighten had a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday under Darren Moore in 2022. He was sent back to Forest in January 2023 much to Forest's annoyance, so maybe Moore doesn't rate him!

We've played 3-4-3 with Wingers dozens of times in the past 3 seasons whilst Flitcroft has been here.

In the current formation, play him up front instead of Willow who looks dejected.  Loft up top,  Chiz and Mighten.

Yeah you've got a point mate, probably not the best thought out response from myself.

When he comes on with his pace he just shows us how slow and static the rest of the team are.
He whipped in a great cross into the 6 yard box late on yesterday, obviously the rest of the 'attack' was 5 yards behind his pace resulting in an easy clearance.
Even Ben Lomax has whipped in some very good, dangerous crosses, with the rest of the team no where to be seen.
Its the inability to read the attack and react accordingly and actually expend some energy to quickly get in the area to maybe, just maybe have a chance of scoring that's veering on diabolical.

Moore tried to play Mighten at wing back at Sheffield Wednesday.

Bet Mighten can't believe his luck. Comes to Vale form some nogger, we don't use him, then things get even worse and he's got to deal with Mooreball again.

You are correct. Moore didn't want him at Wednesday so he's hardly likely to change the system here to suit him is he?

I'd like to think DM knows that the team and results have to come before anything else - systems, personal feelings, past experience of a player etc. He was at pains to say that everyone starts with a clean slate and that must include AM.
