A very enjoyable last game. Vale played well second half when they started to attack by going forwards instead of sideways. Joe Davis gets better with every game.

Just had a brilliant afternoon with the bambinoes and family at port vale.first match I've been to in there in about 20 years and it was brilliant!!! Saw so many people I knew, and the atmosphere was lovely.we shall be going again :-)

Tommo 7. Not a lot to do but made one very good reflex save.

 

Yates 6. Did okay

 

Boom 7. Steady as ever.

 

Davis. 7. Really impressed with him. Needs to fill out but looks a talent.

 

Loft. 8. So pleased he is under contract. Just so consistent.

 

Dodds. 6. Quiet going forward, oddly looked much better when he went to right wing back after Yates went off.

 

Griff. 6. Steady enough. Thought he pushed his luck a little with the challenge he got booked for, god job he won the ball I suspect.

 

Shuker. 6. Steady, worked hard but to small to be a centre mid in the long term.

 

Pope. 6. Worked hard but just isn't having the rub of the green in front of goal.

 

Rigg. 7. Great goal, always a threat.

 

Richards. 7. Led the line really well. Took his goal brilliantly.

 

Subs all came on and did well enough, particularly McDonald.

 

Overall didn't think anyone really stood out. Was a goal team performance, disciplined when required and clinical in front of goal bar for the scramble at the corner.

 

Put in that shift over 46 games and you have the required level of application to achieve.
