Had to be done, like DC said, he would only sign players that 'improve' what we have. Much needed and appreciated. Not expecting miracles but neither accepting mediocrity as I said previously.

Certainly much more quality and depth, but doesn't count for as much as it should when you have a midfield that doesn't create as they all mostly do the same job, and that's why we'll continue to struggle to score goals until a ball playing midfielder is found. Unless Conlon actually steps up.

I think the signing a former player thing works both ways - players knowing the manager (and their former strike partner) may trump a better financial deal being offered by another club.  May even be a facet of the matrix too “will the player settle in and form partnerships with existing players” this one of the weighted criteria if answer is a yes.

Hard to say if we're stronger yet. Not seen Taylor play yet so would need to see what he's all about, 5-10 games time we'll have our answer. Certainly looks exciting on paper.

Hopefully so, Massey has copped a bit of stick from the masses(no pun intended😁) but in his defence has been used in a variety of positions as a bit of a utility player.  I think he's more a winger by trade?
