If at all possible, the only change I'd make, is letting Wilson do the opposite: start and give it his all for 60 or 70 minutes, instead of coming on for the last 10-15 minutes.

Otherwise I'd pick the same 11 as Cheltenham, to get that continuity into the side.

This is a potentially controversial one, but I don't like Ojo and Pett in the same side. Ojo is a far more effective player, who does the DM job while also passing forward with purpose. to me, they are starter and understudy (Pett is a very good understudy btw). Garrity isn't a creator, he picks up bit and pieces and makes runs (every team needs one). What we're missing with Conlon out, is someone to play 8/10 and create. Where Holden is, I don't know. Charsley doesn't have the quality to do it. Walker could but he's injured. To my mind, our best option is for either Tommy Mc or Wilson to play in front of Ojo and Garrity.

One another note, the signing of Politic makes me wish that we'd explore 4-3-3, with Woz/Massey and Politic providing firepower to Harrison, and Wilson sitting just behund.

On what date did Gareth Ainsworth sign for us? I’m sure it’s 25 years to the week. McCarthy’s last game was v Stockport and I think Ainsworth’s debut was at Norwich.
