Battled well in centre midfield but like most of the season our decision making in the final 3rd is awful. I would like to see us move to 433 and leave Rodney up high rather than making him track back like we did under Micky with Ashely Vincent.

We're not allowed to play 4-3-3

In my prediction spreadsheet, where I have us staying up on goal difference, I had us losing and Southend winning.

So for me, bizarrely ... we just made 2 points up on them.

I had Grimsby to win too.

Do we stay up?  If so where did you think we would pick up points

Im not sure what our options are for left back on Tuesday, but we need Amoo, Oyeleke and Guthrie starting (unless Pope is back)

Injuries have been horrific this season and highlight the lack of quality in depth.

Jeans upset Carl

Might have to go Mills at left back and Smith at right back 🤮

Dreadful game of football ,lookedto me like we were playing for a 0-0 and lost to a team who didnt deserve win .

Going down unfortunately there was no blood and thunder about the display ,half hearted to me ,Rodney Worrall Robinson all ominous .

There was nothing to get excited very poor that effort is all well and good but lack guts get the ball in the net and that will see us in the national league unfortunately .

Always love the Vale but fearing the worst now .

That display today just wasn't good enough at all

Colchester and Grimsby are the obvious ones

Carl is right tho.  Some big clubs have gone out of the league and never come back.  Can see where he is coming from.

Feels strange saying this but.... Cambridge and Bolton actually aren't very good are they or both had real off days. Not sure what that makes us .

Following Thursday, the last thing I expected was a display so lethargic, I expected blood and thunder at the very least. I fell asleep in all honessty and missed the goal.

This hurts and it's worse that we can't vent our feelings.

This display was as abject as any we have witnessed since the end of October

Well I can see far more than that. In particular, I thought the team worked really hard today. Two players picked up injries because they worked really hard.

No one's very good at this level. Cambridge and Bolton just win their games. They are consistent, don't have many horrorshows, and will take chances when presented. They stick to their plan and know, sooner or later, something will fall.

The Colchester and Barrow games are the ones that will save us or send us down. All the positivity from Thursdays meeting and we witness that. I will save the negativity but as the saying goes "You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time"

So sad, bitterly disappointing, cruel to have to witness this at home.

This time next Saturday though Pete I don't envisage typing the words

What a great win

Robinson didn’t work hard
