Who is this absolute weirdo?

He needs to go now, but I hear he is really good at delivering hot meals to poor beggars in the community, so will probably be staying as that seems to be the club’s principle focus these days.

It is a good job we are good at supporting the community, because if it was relying on good football, Burslem would have been ravished by famine at this point.

We need to know what’s gone on behind the scenes

me personally unless they have been made to train without footballs I can’t really see how it can be that bad that the players have stopped trying

I agree that askey should go now but let’s not get personal he is obviously as gutted as we are

I’d like to know what Askey keeps referring too... not a level playing Field, other stuff going on?

What is he on about?

The old mine shafts under the pitch have caused the pitch to slope to the left. McKirdy is down there in the old shafts undermining the manager during the match

Serious question.

is there a realistic chance we would even get a real, experienced league manager to replace Johnny?

would Trev be any better because it’s likely him and Pugh would run things together - I think that’s likely anyway. Is it likely?

If it is, we're out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The last thing we need is a pair of rookies cutting their teeth in a relegation battle.

The decision on Askey's replacement is more important than deciding if he goes.

Experienced, hard-bitten, no-nonsense pro is what we need - and quick.

And his name is Derek Adams.

i think John Askey is a genuinely nice bloke

I think Kermit the Frog is a nice guy too..don’t want him in charge of Vale either!

He needs to come out and say what it is or shut up and get on with it.  Keeps coming out with snippets each week.

I don't think Adams comes here. He's on an upwards trajectory and if he moves, it'll be back to Scotland/League 1 club.

You might be surprised

Either whoever would come in we are still a big club in reality with now excellent owners who(despite Askey) have a really good vision for the club and that certainly doesn't include relegation, managers will want to come here...my big worry is there are some dross ones out there.

Seems like his mind is not 100% on the job in hand.

What a joke of a post. You’ve been waiting 3 years for Smith to have a bad spell. How sad.

Smith is having his worst spell for us. He has played better but he has too many mistakes, big mistakes, every season. He is a league two, mid table player at best. Always has been and always will be.

A classic night of P&G.

'Plenty of big rooms in the Admin Building!'

'Get the stoke youngsters in'

Ben's crescendo of anger, untrammelled rage which led to a feedback loop of increasingly incendiary and unhinged (but accurate) rants.

Sarah dropping 'Want. Need. Expect' into every sentence and saying that the positivity would be roaring at Vale Park.

One for the annals. Having a hoot, me.
