problem with PP is he leaves at the first whiff of money

If that happens then we'll have been doing well. I'd take that.

Askey sounds like a broken man.

What a clueless man he is. It would serve him much better if he says what else is going on

"I take full responsibility for the team"

I honestly believe that is the first time I've ever heard him say that, in nearly two years.

Mansfield's first home win of the season. Teams playing us at the moment must think it's birthday, Easter & Christmas all rolled into one!

"It's not a level playing field at the moment. I've seen a lot of strange happenings going on".

Sick of this. Either say it or don't. This inference, ITK, 'ooooh what I have to deal with" is ridiculous.

Bloke sounds on the verge of tears but is going nowhere. Reckons we had a good go second half. 5 points from 36 and knocked out the cup by part-timers. Thinks he can turn it around.

Am begging, Carol.

Can someone get JA a tissue, sounds like he needs one.

The players have let him down.  Now bringing up the problem not having the same team or players due to circumstances.  Sorry but other managers have had the same issue and sorted it out.

The players have decided they don't want to play under you now.

Bowers asking some hard hitting tough questions, credit to him.

It's a sad state of affairs. It's not like he doesn't or won't care. And he's human like the rest of us at the end of the day, it's never nice to see anyone going through turmoil.

But either he needs to do the right thing, or Carol does. Askey is experienced enough to get a stint somewhere else, he'll be fine.

Something is going on behind the scenes here... someone needs to come out and explain what he keeps referring too’

I watched my first game in 1964 so I've seen some rubbish and poor commitment amongst some of the good stuff. That today was amongst the lowest, bearing in mind what has been going on for the last few weeks. I was prepared to let the "blip" of 5 defeats on the spin go because at this level that does sometimes happen. I hoped after Bolton it would be turned it round but the performances have become worse week after week. For me this is a sure sign that the manager is a dead man walking.

Not one of those players today looked:

a) as if they wanted to be there and

b) knew what they were doing.

It was completely sickening watching that "performance" and this slide is alarming now in its nearness to the relegation dogfight. I know it is only January but it looks unstoppable at the moment.

I hope he'll do an Aspo and walk but don't think he will....he simply has to go Carol......please.

Cryptic references to 'other stuff going on'. Just come out and say it or don't bother.

That was missed by the Radio Sjoke interviewer.  What are the other stuff going on.

Askey is a perfectly nice man, it’s not nice to hear him in the interview and I really think it would help him tenfold if he actually said what is happening off the pitch. It’s gone too far now anyway but could have actually helped his position. Sorry John your time is up wish you well when you next manage Macclesfield but time is up

Hate it. It's a League 2 football club, and they make it sound like the inner workings of the Russian State.

Either say it bluntly or get on with it. These little insinuations that there's some nefarious force wreaking havoc at Port Vale is ridiculous.
