Some comments from the Huddersfield forum on Olagunju

While I was suitably impressed by Austerfield, Diarra, Obiero and Jackson, this is the guy I’m most excited to see how he develops. Tall, big frame, enough speed, and his composure on the ball was excellent. He’s still raw but the only limit I see on this kid is if he doesn’t put the work in.

What I was very impressed by was how physically imposing he was for someone of his age (same with Crichlow, who is a bit older, and a few of the midfielders). Historically, we have produced a lot of players from the academy who are technically very good, but are kids playing in an adult game, even when they are hitting 22/23.

I really like the look of Olagunju, reminded me of Kongolo when Kongolo was good. Calm on the ball and read the play well. If he’s u/17’s, wow, could have a big future if he works hard. In fact, that second half, all those kids have the base, it’ll come down to desire as to whether they make it. Top show from the youngsters.

This young lad from the new intake of U17's looks to have so much raw talent. tall, powerful, full of fight, good feet and a pass on him

We've genuinely just won the league title.

Didn't we think the same when Taylor and Clark came?

Yes, I could be wrong but he's only got 7 games to his name according to OVF, so very inexperienced.  I wish him all the best and I should have said Welcome to the Vale. The lad may turn out to be a real gem. let's hope so.

Didn’t say that did I you clown. We should have signed one before now. Reports are that we ‘may’ sign one, but certainly a forward. The Cb should be more important. As I’ve said stop quoting me never say anything relevant.

Musta been listening, they signed a CB before a striker.

I feel people are being a bit harsh on Crookes not even giving him a chance and saying the new guy should come in straight away. He’s very rarely been played at centre half which is his natural position. Give him a go at least. Sure, he may turn out to be rubbish but how do we know until he’s played a league game there. Then if he is put the new guy in. Everyone wrote Brisley off last season until he got a run of games near the close season and played really well.

Unless he's wonder kid I doubt if Mustapha, who's made one start at Huddersfield, will be starting for us. Looks just like a back up signing. So, it looks like Smith and Conlon away at Tranmere on Satdee. Mmmm...

wasnt he  the guy who ran us in circles when we played the in the friendly match?

Sounds like just what we need, looks good on the highlights too, fingers crossed he can cope with the step up from academy to L2.

Assume confirmation of Swan is delayed as we need permission from the Queen first?
