Might be something in this.

Garmston is a LB, so could push Montano back to a forward position?Screenshot_20200902-122732_Twitter.jpeg

Interesting - Staffordshire lad by all accounts, started off at West Brom.

Interesting snippet too in Wiki:

In 2008 Garmston was ranked as one of the top sprinters for his age in the UK. He finished 2nd in the 200m at the English Schools Championships.

Garmston's father, Michael, was Head Physiotherapist to the British Olympic athletics teams in 1992 Barcelona, 1996 and 2000. Garmston's mother, Sonia Lannaman won a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Russia. She also won gold in the 1978 Commonwealth Games individual 100m.

Looks as if he might be a bit quick!

We could but only if Askey sees Montano as a better winger than fullback. My guess is he doesn't.
I don't think I do either! [emoji23][emoji23]

I would prefer a winger to be signed myself.
How would that save any money, you would have to pay his contract up [emoji2357]
Sell him. Didn't say pay him up.

Phil Bowers has just confirmed on Twitter that mckirdy is training with us

First of all who's going to buy a suspended player. Secondly most clubs will have their quota of players already and the transfer deadline looms closer.

McKirdy thinks he is Jack Grealish. He isn’t.

I am not sure why everybody has such a downer on McKirdy.  He annoyed me when he played against us last season with his antics and previously at Crewe but he looked a good player.  I would take his goals next season as our other midfielders don't look like getting 9 or 10 plus goals a season.  I think he would give us something different than what we already have.  Irrespective of whether he is a poor mans Grealish or not I trust our management team to be able to ascertain this and then handle him.  Let's see if he signs first and then judge him.

I guess that is why he is training with us, so we can tell if he is going to be a total a*se or not...
