Yeah, I thought he did okay too.  Jonny seems to see the game differently to most.

Spot on with todays pod lads, especially the analysis of the recruitment so far this year! Major lessons need to be learned, I thought they would have learned them in the summer but let's see what the rest of this window brings

Just seen you being on derby pod, have you boys ever thought about getting guests from the teams we play on yours. Think be really interesting hearing their thoughts on game. Will also give interesting insights into what they think previewing the game and how it will go and whos inform/out of form etc etc

Apart from Jonnys assessment that our recruitment of centre halves has been 10/10 and then proceeds to agree with @DannyBezza that Cass has had a poor season so far (but there’s a player in there) and that Forrester can’t string a couple of games together. 
 

Jonnys phrase “there’s a player in there” is becoming as well used as Conlons left foot. Oh and using the word “project” in regards to a football club really gets my back up, have a word Bez.

Good pod again lads. Interesting point made by Steve about Garrity handling the pitch better than other players. Might be to do with him playing Sunday football till he was in his early 20s and being used to playing on ploughed fields? Would agree he's out most important player at the minute.

Must say I do think Jonny is biased in favour of Stone. How he gets 6 for that game is beyond me. If that’s Stevens for the first he’s getting hammered.

I'm not against Conlon at LWB as mad as it sounds. He isn't getting into our midfield at the min, has a good left foot and engine. Anythings worth a try at this point but I don't think DC will fancy it.

Stone has plenty of time to get better. In the ideal situation he'd have had a few loans at lower levels now and would have had a good run of games to get him in form if needed.

Unfortunately our goalkeeper recruitment has meant that he's had to come and save the day from a mentalist Brazilian, a 7ft Czech bloke who couldn't jump and now an Oxford loanne who can't kick the ball to a player in a vale shirt. He's not a league one keeper right now, but he might be given time and he's the most consistent option we've had since DC came in.
