It's no different than on here much of the time. Players like Conlon, Smith and Worrall often get free passes from most on past glories. Jones, on the other hand, is always the culprit for something or other, no matter how well he plays. Par for the course

Nah. Everyone thinks DJ has done good.

Is that the Zac Jules who has made 49 league 1 starts since he left us?

Doesn’t detract from how bad he was for us in the brief cameos he made a few years ago. But as others have said above, he managed to get his career back on track under DC at Walsall.

I suppose listening to a podcast is just like sitting down and talking about the vale with your mates. Everyone has their favourites and irrational dislikes and things that bug them. The difference is that it  gets a bigger audience.

That’s right - after the intervention of our very own DC getting him back on track at Walsall.  Glad you have finally acknowledged what a good manager he is - blind hatred cannot overcome facts

Don't presume that because I don't think DC is the right manager to take us to the championship that I hate him. I have never met him. He has some ability to spot players but his inability to see his own shortcomings is going to be his downfall. There are only so many other things you can blame for poor performances.

I thought the episode with Smith was brilliant

Yes it was very good. Charlton review was good too. Although in hindsight a bit kind on the officials who missed two blatant red cards (for fouls on Mr Smith himself). And hinting Smithy goes down a bit too easily was a bit off. Sure the reason the ref didn't take more action after the forearm smash was because Smithy just picked himself up and got on with it.

I think they would have been harder on the officials had we lost, as it happened it didn't matter in the end
