Match Thread: Port Vale v Carlisle United

I had a feeling it would be Cullen today. He should have played from the start

Get in Cullen.

That has got to be his place secure for the next match.

Worrall still down tho.

Come on Vale can we get another goal to secure the 3 points.

I was just about to say that this is a great game to watch. End to end, anyone can win then we score. Great goal. Not over yet.

Another one coming from our right. 3 assists in a week from a full back is an unbelievable contribution. We’ve done well to turn this around. Credit to the manager for the subs.

I rest my case 🥅 🥅

About time. Thought it was going to be one of those games where it just wouldn't happen, only for that mincing tart McKirdy to undeservedly net on the break.

I typed this in the 85th minute. Held off until the whistle so I wouldn't inevitably jinx it.

well done Vale

FT 2-1. Phew! Thought we'd never get past them. So well done Arthur and the lads, especially Wozza and Cullen. It's going to be difficult to keep Cullen out on his recent form.

8th now and just 5 points off the top. Dare we dream? C'mon Vale!

Shaky start good result...... nerves jangled

Get in there Vale.  Up to 8th now.  Who would have thought this would happen.  Would have been happy with mid place with all the stuff that has happened over the past few years and the rebuilding job the new owners had to do.

Show's how quickly the club is getting it together on and off the pitch.  Well done to the owners who have instigated the changes off field and JA and Co on getting the players into the right mind set.  It's great being a vale fan again.

what sort of plays with his socks rolled down like that and gloves on??? He is an obnoxious little git. Think Gibbo was desperate to line him up and put him in Row Z but his yellow card made it a tad difficult....😂

I know McCurdy. He's a local lad and a Stoke fan! Says it all.

Crewe commentator jut said ‘Crewe were the better team in general play’ after losing 4-1.

Good win for the Vale, my overall MOM is Nathan Smith. Really pleased for Mark Cullen, how does JA regularly get Cullen  in the team given his favored formation, nice problem to have.

If you play with your socks round your ankles and wear gloves you'd better be able to carry the look off, sadly McCurdy looked like a real pansy today.
