If Carlisle get anything out of this game I expect the highlights to be shown on crimewatch. All playing very well especially the midfield trio

Monty was still in the dressing room when they scored their first goal,. Agree with the above, Popey should be bought on now and Cullen later if we still need a goal.

Apart from their goal, the first 30 mins Vale played some good stuff and should have scored.

 

Listening on Radio Sjoke and it sounds like Vale have had the chances, but some of the players are making individual errors.

Just hope JA and co have a quiet word with the players and they come out and play to the level we know they can.

Is it a mental issue, we seem to play rubbish against teams at the bottom of the league and play well against teams above us.

Awful start. To be blaming the centre halves and the right back there for the goal is harsh. It’s shocking positioning from Monty and once their lad is in behind then our defenders are running at their own goal. Hard to defend against. Who knows maybe a proper left back would do better positioning wise in the first instance there. Other than that we’ve had the better chances and Bennett has had 3 decent efforts. I think Gibbo and Amoo have run them ragged at times down their left and not for the first time this season it’s our most productive side of the pitch with some excellent link up play down there with those 2 and one of the centre mids joining in. It hasn’t quite been the same down our left and we need to get Worrall involved more. Taylor and Burgess are managing to find some good areas behind their midfield, but If we’re changing anything then I think we should do it early, if it’s Pope or Cullen coming on remains to be seen. 

Oh Dear......how many times have we seen this happen? Better side by a country mile but are we going to score...not with Bennett on, he couldn't score in a brothel at the moment. They really are a poor outfit but will start to believe even more the longer the game goes on. Popey has to come on sooner rather than later.

Still hopeful we will win this but need to strike quickly.

Sounds like the fans are getting more t'd off with the Vale.  When will JA change it and bring off Bennett and Amoo for Pope and Cullen.  Amoo not having the best of games either.

Poor from Askey this. Ten mins on, nothing’s changed, not created a chance. Just wasting time.

The change has happened.  In a way I feel sorry for Bennett always being taken off - that must affect his confidence, but he needs to take his chances.

Just wondered if JA would have brought two off - Bennett and Amoo and bring on Pope and Cullen and just go for it.

Probably bring Cullen on with 10 minutes to go and have no chance to affect the game.

Sounds like Carlise are now wasting time as much as possible.
