Asian bidder revealed!

Vital Spark

Recommended Posts

There was a vote on wether to make the ground a community asset which resulted in a unanimous vote in favour.the forms were signed there and then and were sent off electronically, so this process has now started.

At this point Garlick said a word of caution, this may put off a potential buyer, and it could be someone you would like to buy the club.

Malcolm Hirst responded by saying this would only come into effect if someone applied for planning permission to build on the land.

A few, rightly or wrongly, were reading between the lines at Garlick statement.

Doesn't look like it, unless NS is handling them himself but then CG would not be in charge. I am very wary of newspapers, so don't believe the Asian link.

CG said he has had no dialogue with any Asian bidders.

Much of what he's said sounds like non-committal waffle. I'm glad I didn't bother going, sounds like no one's any the wiser.

This is true. Shows how pathetic the whole "Asian consortium" bid lie is if even Garlick can't be bothered to pretend to believe they exist.

Interesting that CG said that The Owners directors loan stood at £2.8Million at the last count, which is coincidentally the figure offered by the Asian buyers....
Breaking even when he came and now owe him 2.8mill in loans. Plus the loans he has already taken back. Plus the transfer monies, tv etc etc etc is he has bled us dry.

How much do we think he has had altogether over the years? Has anyone got a rough estimation?

I'm hoping Black and Gold's investigations have been shining a light into dark corners of the club's finances, because something fishy has been going on.

I think this is a most interesting question but for me the jury’s out on the “bled us dry” element because I have no idea how much it costs to run PVFC. One possibilty amongst others is that as he said from the outset of his tenure he didn’t intennd to lose money and at this point, when love don’t live here anymore, he still doesn’t. I think it’s very unlikely he’ll come out of a deal with any smart business person with a profit.
