Yes but that’s the problem Smurthwaite has said that the Asian buyers are going to buy the club for 2.7 million without the ground and have paid 100k exclusivity fee.

He has also said that Garlick is dealing with potential buyers so he must be aware if they are or aren’t.(or even actually exist at all).

Good question to ask at the meeting tonight.

I thought he'd said they were prepared to pay it, not they had already done so.

Ask Garlick if they are genuine buyers and if they have been offered the ground as well as the club.

Q Have you been in contact with Carol Shanahan since Saturday with regards to her buying the club?

 

CG: I am speaking to a number of potential buyers, there’s been no secret in the press of local and Asian interest.

 

Q What can you tell us about the ‘Asian’ interest

 

CG: “I haven’t been speaking to anybody with regard to the ‘Asian’ interest, but I have been talking to others.”

Q: Do you expect to find out the Asian interest in next few days?

 

CG: If there is an Asian buyer out there then yes I would hope to be speaking to them, deal with them and then see if that bid is acceptable.

 

At this point I haven’t dealt with them.

 

Nobody has exclusivity at this point in time.
