i'm completely and totally 100 per cent respecting the legend that is Gordon Banks.

What i don't get is the red card protest suspended as a mark of respect?

What relevance is that ?

We will have our minutes applause, personally i prefer silence as a mark of respect.

 

Then once kick off happens i'm sure there will be anti-smurthwaite chants during the game too.

 

Might be just me but i don't quite get the connection.

Not strange mate. He is starting to crack. Keep the protests going, they will escalate once the depth of contempt for Smurthwaite is shown each game.

Will there actually be an extra 40 stewards there? If so why? Will he even be there? Where will these extra 40 stewards be placed? Is this just an idea by him with his 'logic' being the 40 stewards will put the prostesters off from marching / protesting.

CBI arent stewarding vale games anymore leaving us desperately short of stewards for the last home game. Most of the current Stewards arent badged security people, therefore pretty unwilling to get involved in anything apart from their roles as safety stewards. Understandable, who would.
