I think he's a more likely option as he can play as a 9 or a 10. We need someone who can play with or cover for Pope.

My understanding was we were looking at him as backup to Montano, Morecombe wanted him to start. Looking at the games Montano has missed maybe a mistake. Similar to the situation with Harry Smith who chose a starting place at Macclesfield over Pope cover.

Tbf we were also linked with Oswell who also chose, Morecambe and has managed a massive 1 goal(against us!). One decent game against an avg to poor Vale side doesn't make you a consistently good player!

With regards to Bowman decent Conference level record but not really scored many goals in the EFL, one avg season in League Two with York a few years ago aside! But if Exeter are interested and in for him and they are in the top 6 he must have something?
