Smurf didn't pick today's team.

 

Smurf picked today's manager. Smurf also picked the previous 2 managers who succeeded Rob Page who never deserved to be sacked in the way he did.

Our club is dying on its arse, and if you cant see he isnt to blame for this then you can't be helped.

Smurf also didn't invest in the team while in the play off positiond during the transfer window.When Vale were in and around the play offs from league 1 to the Championship.From then on we have gone down to league 2 and only survived by just 1 point.

Its honestly not worth it.

 

Any Vale fan with sense knows this bloke is the one constant in the revolving door of ineptitude and shambles of Port Vale. He's responsible for the lack of re-investment from the transfer windfalls, he's responsible for poor managerial appointment after poor managerial appointment, and he's responsible for taking us very close to non-league oblivion.

 

He backed the manager, some will cry. 50k on Miller and lads from TNS and Alfreton when we just got given 2m is not backing.

 

Too many fans are not bothered or think he saved the club. Thats why we're finished.

 

Don't waste your breath mate. Clubs done.

We will be in the National League under Norman at some point. No question.

 

We can't keep relying on two teams being worse than us, at some point we will finish in the bottom two.

 

Are you happy with our decline? We finished 9th in League One four years ago!

 

Under Norman's stewardship, look where we are now. WAKE UP.

 

£2.4m received since January 2017 and this is what we serve up?

I hope hagrid can calm down a little and have a few drinks tonight. I agree wholeheartedly with his comments that vale fans ought to voice their opinions more , at games and in general. We do have a hard core, aging fan base, me included who are hurting so, so much under Smurthwaite's tenure and now a totally inept, monotonous, out of his depth manager. Unless people in their hordes voice their feelings that NOW is the time for Aspin to go then nowt will be done. As a manager Neil is completely and utterly clueless. If he stay Vale are doomed.

We have a passive fanbase who see their role as mere consumers of football, soundlessly eating up whatever those higher up choose to serve.

 

They need to re-think their perspective. We are Port Vale. The fans are what the club is. Not Norm, not Aspo, not V2001, not Popey.

 

If we aren't happy, we can change it. Somehow, we have a fanbase that either doesn't want to hear it, or doesn't understand it.

 

There's just an accepted defeatism around the place. We're better than this. Lets change things.
