Brexit again...

No, completely disagree. The middle ground is where the status quo sits. If you want - need - things to change, you need to go elsewhere. Neo-liberalism isn't working for vast swathes of our country and you're not going to find the answers in some rosy little New Labour/ soft tory middle ground.

The other thing is, Labour aren't hard-left at all. We're just so used to Labour running to the centre to try and cadge votes off conservatives that a proper Socialist Labour government looks extreme. It's not. The policies unveiled at the last election were extremely popular and made the tories' continuation of the old system look tired.

If they were so popular why didn't they win?

Because a lot of the policies were pie in the sky and Corbyn basically admitted that he'd lied about them straight afterwards.

They created a fantasy manifesto because they knew they couldn't win.

They didn’t win because they can’t be trusted.Nothing unusual really.

And we should trust the Conservative Party? The party that gives us austerity, long after the need for it has gone?

There's no one party that represents all I believe in concerning economics and society at large, but Labour come closest.

H,when you haven’t got any money because last bunch of clowns couldn’t run a bath nevermind an economy what were they expected to do?Carry on borrowing and spending? No chance, the quickest way to bankruptcy.Have a look at employment figures, have a look at mortgage interest rates. Then,if,God forbid,Liebour get in again, have a look at the same and then look in your and everyone else’s pocket, including the less well off. They are grabbing baskets, always have been, always will be.

Possible scenario........

Brexit party grab 25% of the vote, not the 35% forecast,......... which party will openly deny those votes and try to stay in?..... I doubt either will...... if they do and we stay in will they work with the elected European representatives of the UK?...... I doubt it........ so what do we get....... UK mps who want in..... euro mps who want out...... and we stagnate for a few more years...... what a prospect.

The bigger percentage brexit party gets the worse it will be.
