Found an interesting interview with their Chairman regarding the Dior Angus transfer.

Basically -

Vale great club, by extension Aspin top bloke.

Pre season friendly.

Loan player agreements.

'Potential' sell on clause.

Vale come out of this like looking excellent.

Well done Aspo!

Good to hear.

Rebuilding our reputation; we had no obligation to pay for the lad, and yet we 'looked after Redditch very well'.

Described as a 'breath of fresh air'.

Good work to all involved, and great to see us support non-league clubs.

Very good to read but not a bit surprising.

As well as Neil Aspin, I would say the experience, maturity, graciousness and diplomacy of one of Britain's football management greats has been at work, and it shows - Sir John Rudge proving his value to us yet again.

Yep.

Seems like Aspo has been sound and squared them away despite not needing to.

Word travels. After the chaos of the last few years this kind of thing goes a long way in restoring our name to what it was.

This type of thing is good to read, as it is quite possible Redditch might have other players that would interest us in the future, and as you say, word travels and other clubs will take notice of this instead of other things they may have seen in the last 2 or 3 years which I won't give more airtime to.

This is great news it might also work with some of our youngster ie turner playing on loan.

Nice one to all concerned

ps their chairmans voice sounds not too unlike ours

Wow! Great to hear the Vale spoken about so enthusiastically and positively - instead of the "toxic" reputation some of you say we have had!

Yes, as already stated it is good to move in that direction. It doesn't mean that we did not have problems previously, which are better not listedin full here and wounds opened - just one to remind anyone with too short a memory was the way Rob Page left the club. But let's not go through all the rest again.

You can't pretend they didn't exist, or berate those that desired a better image for the club.

It is excellent that we have people with football experience, professional resolve and manner determining the image of the club now and in this respect Rudge and Aspin deserve great credit for going a long way to repair previous damage.
