Aspin stated post match that he had a few days to bring in new faces but was only going to bring in players from non league not under 23s which is quite right.

Can we clarify that these are the only two avenues open to Aspin by choice or is the club not prepared to pay the going rate for experience.

 

Are we saying that there is not an experienced, seasoned goalkeeper with a commanding voice in the entire football league or do we not want or are capable of affording one.

I think we need to understand is it the ability and capability of our management team or the intent, desire and will of our owner.

Views please

 

What there isn't is a decent player that isn't under contract. Which means either we pay ££££ in transfer fees or we wait for the summer.

There are two options then.To either spend some decent money to try and get some decent players in or not spend which could eventually be more costly IF relegated

The only clarity you need mate is we not having the ones we require despite the promise of our owner when he employed Aspo that he would support him in the window I am afraid its going to be chancers only on a small salary

To be fair, a top non league player, could be just as good as any in L2!

 

I don't care if they've played non league in bl.... Burkina Faso all their life, as long as they play with pride and passion, and do a difference every time they put a Vale shirt on!

 

Our budget wont run to top non league.

The commentators for the Yeovil game here in Denmark, said they have a player budget at around 1 million Punds.

Don't know if that is true, and really don't care, but how big is ours? I mean, we seem to have payed for a squad of 35-36 players, so it can't be THAT small in comparison?

Maybe we need to think that the promised backing will not happen. The IF it does happen it will be a bonus.Or they COULD BE playing very clever and keeping a fantastic signing that will be the best Vale signing for 30 years quite till later so there is a rush for season tickets.(Tonight's cider may have influenced the later part though)
