...the point that I am trying to make is if we offered new deals to the players that we wished to keep earlier before the old ran out then we would keep more of them.

 

But not if that player thinks his career progression would be better away from this club!

Watched Hugill come on for his debut in the last few minutes at Brighton yesterday - he dd okay with a couple of neat lay offs, but the game was beyond West Ham by then - they looked a poor team on the day. Took great pleasure leaning across to educate fans nearby when they asked "Who's Jordan Hugill". Baroness Brady is not the flavour of the month with Hammers fans however - lot's of chants of "sack the board" from the away end, banners being waved to the same effect. They are not happy with their transfer window, the poor mites - spending a few million on a Championship striker hasn't exactly enamoured them to the fans. Missing out on Leicester players in the transfer window because Leicester won't talk to Karen Brady hasn't helped either. I hope Hugill scores a hatful for them - do we get more money if he gets an England cap?
