According to unofficial Vale Wolves have bid for Hugill, if it goes through the sell on clause is 14% so Vale get £280k. Great news for Vale. If the money went elsewhere, surely this would be seen as having "serious financial implications going forward for Port Vale Football Club". Now that to me, includes, the money going to directly to the owner, or being added to the asking price for the club, thus reducing any potential new owners resources available to spend on Port Vale. The exact same can be said for any potential sale of Smith.

To put this 280k into perspective, it's about the same amount we've lost, in terms of payments from the EFL, in being relegated to L2.

Is it coincidence that Smurthwaite used to drive a £10k polo until we sold Alnwick & Grant when his £80k Tesla made an appearance.

 

I'd be excited about Hugill if I actually thought the club would see a penny.

To get back to the theme of the thread - I guess that any money we get from Hugill's sale will go into the club but then be set against the Directors' Loan Account. So I doubt whether, apart from reducing the DLA, it will add to the club's spending capacity. Hope I'm wrong!

In reply to evidence. Look at PVFC official end of year statements to see if he actually had any money.

 

You cannot loan from a bank that kind of money without any equity or financial stableness or the bank won't touch you therefore it's his money he is using to run the club.

 

That aside he made his money in property.

 

If he were a asset stripper he would simply sell the land and make more money from housing? Why would he waste millions in getting the club to where it is today to strip assets and make a negative value?

 

He is a interesting businessman I'll give him that. But until I have done what he has done I cannot fault his investment and neither can anyone else unless they wish to put their money where their mouth is.

 

Smurf would not being releasing statements if he did not give a damn about Port Vale. He would have no presence on here if he didn't care.

 

I'd love to see half of you handle his situation and fall flat on your face as you lack business Skills and even if you had the skills could you cope with the barricade of stress and abuse? I think not.

This one will be Fred, I think you can be fairly sure of that.

It'll have a triple lock based on any future Tesla price increases, Danni's holiday plans and champagne to entertain visiting Coventry directors.

 

Cant imagine Hugill will go for more than £2million but I may be wrong, with all that silly money floating round at the top end of the game.

If we get a kickback from Hugill's sale then I hope it will be added to the budget but i fear Norman will trouser the lot.
